We booked a trek in the Timanfaya National Park at the beginning of September, our first big event in our vacation, it was triple perfect: The organization, the guide Andreas (gave us a lot of knowledge in the friendliest way ) and the weather! A truly beautiful and unique tour just a few steps from Timanfaya Park. Huge compliments to our guide Amanda, who made the trek even more interesting with her explanations. The final aperitif was also very welcome. I would like to give more than five stars (at least 11), but unfortunately I can only give five. Small tip: bring a sweatshirt or a jacket with you because at a certain point it might get a little chilly.
It is not the classic tourist bus tour; it is a real trek around the volcanoes, climbing up to a crater... more wild, more authentic, the guides are fantastic! Highly recommended!
A beautiful day with Sandra from Lava Trekking, who doesn't just show you Lanzarote: she teaches you how to look at it. She walks without rushing, observes every detail, and tells the story of the island with passion: the volcanoes, the vineyards, the ancient systems for collecting water, the colors of the lava. In the ash, she even shows us the small olivines, green crystals hidden in the black of the volcano. The stop inside a crater was unforgettable, sitting on a large stone, with wine, cheese, and wild fennel cookies. In the end, we have lunch together on the coast, sharing dishes and Canarian specialties, **as if we had known each other forever** .
