Readers should know I like wine. I am in Barcelona one or two times a year. This was the 3rd tour I did with Ivan, over the last couple years, have previously done Priorat and Penedes. He’s great. That’s why I did a third tour with him. Book with confidence. I joined Ivan for the Barcelona wine tour. We started at the site of the El Born market which I had never seen despite at least 10 trips to Barcelona. I got there early and was able to read about the history and see the archeological dig site before the wine started flowing. The first stop was at a reservation only wine tasting boutique near the Picasso museum. We started with a refreshing Cava by Guillem Carol. I am not a big fan of sparkling wine, but I enjoyed this enough to remember the name. The other highlight from this stop was the Portal - a white Grenache. I bought a bottle to take home. Then we went to a great restaurant in the gothic quarter historic Jewish area called Vinterria del Call. The tasting included some food and I added more at my expense. We enjoyed a bottle of Embruix 2022. A full bodied red from Priorat. I bought a bottle to take home. Should mention the food there was also very good. Oxtail, cheeses and the Iberian ham and croquets.

It's been a great tour, an excellent combination of history of Barcelona and some delicious wines in very special bars. For 3 hours Iván guided me through some historical and charming places in Barcelona and shared many anecdotes, making the tour informative and entertaining at the same time. And the wines, cava and cheese, wonderful! Iván is very knowledgable and I strongly recommend this tour.

I've never had so much fun doing a tour (and it was not because of the wine ;)) ! I've learned a lot about Barcelona's history. Thank you Ivan for this great experience. I loved every minute of it. The wine and the food were top notch! Definitely recommend it!

Of all the tours I have done in Barcelona, this was the best. It was a wonderful time. The warmth and knowledge of the guide made us laugh, learn, and enjoy all at once! During the city tour, the guide took us to a hidden gem that you would never find on your own. It was truly surprising. We were able to taste excellent quality Priorat wines, and the tapas that accompanied them were exquisite, a pleasure for the palate in every sense. The place was very cozy, where you enter and lose track of time. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy quality wines, history, and lots of laughs.
