The day before, I inquired if there is water in the lake at present and they said 'yes', so I decided not to cancel. It took about two and a half hours to arrive with an uncle who spoke only Turkish, but there was no water and he could not see the scenery he wanted to see. My uncle accompanied me around the lake in the heat and I paid for lunch because he drove so long. Too bad I couldn't get the experience worth the money.
The private tour to Salt Lake was a great experience, offering a fantastic photo spot. The agency was flexible and confirmed the tour time with us. Although the guide acted more as a driver and didn't provide much commentary, his driving skills were good and reliable.
We visited just before sunset and captured some beautiful photos. It's a lovely spot to visit if you have enough time in Cappadocia.

Salt Lake
Lake is fantastic, so beautiful in sunset light. We enjoy great time paddling in the salty water. Surface in water is covered with angular salt crystals , we wear flip flops for comforting walking . Way from Göreme take 2 hours, roads is smooth and car was comfortable.
