A good Barossa Valley wine tour is as much about the people behind the cellar doors as the wines themselves. Being a local guide means I can add the stories, history and scenery between the wineries, while starting the day with pickup here in the Barossa gives us more time to enjoy the region. Winter has a charm all of its own in the Barossa Valley. The vineyards take on a different character, the cellar doors feel warm and welcoming, and a crackling log fire with a glass of red is hard to beat. Having already explored many of the larger wineries, I enjoyed introducing you to a few family-owned producers that offered something different.
