アテネからデルフィまで 2 時間のところに、非常に有名な都市カイロネイアがあります。 リヴァデイアから 13 キロ離れたカイロニアの入り口、考古学博物館の隣に、大きなライオンが描かれた大理石の台座が立っています。この墓の記念碑は、紀元前 338 年のカイロネイアの戦いで倒れ、マケドニア人が勝利を収めたテーバイの指導者たちを讃えて建てられました。勝利後、フィリッポス 2 世が死者の埋葬を許可したとき、埋葬場所を示すためにカイロネイアのレオが建てられました。実際、現場での発掘により、254 人の人骨と武器の一部が明らかになりました。身長は5.50メートルで、後ろ足で座って描かれています。ライオンは、フェリペ 2 世自身も認めていたテーベの兵士の英雄主義を象徴していると考えられています。
デルフィへ向かう途中、アラチョヴァ村と冬のリゾート地を通過します。目的地まではわずか 20 分です。 アラチョヴァは、海抜 1200 メートルにあるギリシャ中部の小さな伝統的な村です。
デルフィはアポロン神の聖域の場所です。ギリシャ全土からあらゆる社会的地位の人々がこの場所に集まり、貢物を携えて、大祭司でありアポロンの神託者であるピュティアとの謁見を望んだのです。彼女の予言は国家政策さえも形作りました。 未来を知り、神の祝福を確保したいと切望し、あらゆる階層の国民が文字通りオラクルに賛辞と寄付を注ぎ込み、その結果、オラクルの金庫が満杯になる巨万の富が蓄積されました。 アポロ神殿、カスタリアの泉、アテナ プロナイア神殿、劇場、スタジアムなどの観光スポットを訪れる機会があります。 その後、有名なアンティノオスの像など、デルフィの発掘で得られた多くの重要な古代ギリシャの遺物を鑑賞することができます。 遺跡と博物館のツアーは 3 時間かかります。その後、本格的なギリシャ料理を味わい、アテネに戻ります。
修道院はヘリコン山の西斜面、古代ステリオンのアクロポリスの下にあります。壁に囲まれており、2 階建てと 3 階建ての小部屋、南西の角に鐘楼、南側に食堂、そして囲いの中央に隣接する 2 つの教会で構成されています。 修道院は、西暦 945 年から西暦 953 年に亡くなるまでこの地域に住んでいた隠者ルーカス ステレオティスによって設立されました。テオトコス教会はルーカスの存命中に建てられました。ルーカスは正教会の聖職者と宣言され、彼の遺物は教会に保管されていましたが、後にカトリコンが建てられたときにカトリコンの下の納骨堂に移されました。 修道院の見学後、車でアテネに戻ります。

We had a great experience. Lambros was an excellent guide/driver/new friend. He drove us in a very comfortable van from Athens to Olympia where we spent the night in a beautiful hotel that he recommended. The next day he drove us to Delphi ending the day back in Athens. On both days we were provided with a wealth of valuable and fascinating information about Greece's history to provide context to the sites we were going to visit. Both sites were incredible to see and the scenery during the drive to and from each location was breathtaking. Lambros is very knowledgeable and was able to answer every question we had. He even made a detour to take us to his family run olive farm so we could learn more about the olive picking/olive oil production process. That was a nice bonus. Beautiful monastery, very well maintained, beautiful part of the ruins, very small museum. The guys don't pay, the only real flaw are the candles, you make the offer, you take them, but you can't light inside, but only outside in a big case with sand, but after a few minutes they are removed and thrown in the trash underneath ... I really srmbrata a bad thing.

Lambros was professional and courteous - read a lot of history and even though we agreed on a fixed fee he still went out of his way to show us things that would not typically be seen. we took that as a sign of both his sense of customer service and greek pride!

Great trip, I was supposed there will be a group but it is only me with the driver, almost 9hours and went to several attractions. The car are Benz very comfortable. Recommended!
