Great cooking lesson and degustation of what we made and a free glass of wine. The group was small enough for all of us to have a go and it was great to exchange stories with other travellers. I was impressed with what we managed to make and eating freshly made food it a bonus.
I feel confident I could try and make some of the dish we made myself even if some ingredients will obviously be different here. Highly recommend - it was a lot of fun

Unlike other cooking...
Unlike other cooking sessions this was run at a hotel not family home
Staff member running it was not able to control a large group and it should have bern broken into two groups

Thank you for your feedback. Our Georgian cooking class in Tbilisi takes place at St.Bunny restaurant and is designed as a social, small-group experience of up to 12 guests. Participants cook khinkali and khachapuri, meet fellow travelers and enjoy the food together around the table — very much in the spirit of Georgian hospitality. We appreciate your comment and will continue improving individual attention during the class.

Georgia 🇬🇪 cuisine
Great tour cooking class gives you an idea of how the Georgians eat and you get to have a little wine and enjoy the efforts of your labor afterwards. Bon appétit.

A great first step into Georgian cuisine!
Really fun experience! The staff were super friendly and patient, and everything was explained clearly. They made us feel comfortable even when our cooking skills weren’t exactly perfect. The best part was definitely getting to try the khinkali and khachapuri we made ourselves. Highly recommended!

We had a great time.
A great hands on experience. The group we had was great and the instructor was pleasant and helpful. Overall the course was 2 hours with breaks in-between preparing the food for chatting with the group and drinking Georgian wine.

A must-do
My expectations were modest and, in the end, it was a very good, friendly time cooking a Georgian lunch that was as simple as it was tasty. The manager was attentive and patient. My "technique" improved over the course of the activity. The place is also nice and pleasant. A must-do.

Yeah, not worth it.
The chef that taught the class was from Russia and told us multiple times that she did not eat Georgian food. The Khinkali dough is pre-made and frozen and is really thick. There was no quality control on how people in your group made the Khinkali so when it cam time to eat it, many of the Khinkali were not edible because they had almost no meat inside. The chef gave very little guidance and you simply don't get to eat the Khachapuri you make or the Khinkali you make. You may end up eating the Khinkali that the Egyptian girl sitting across from you made and who concentrated on folding the dough and not on how much meat was put inside of them.....like I did. When I asked for Kemali sauce the chef didn't know what that was, because she doesn't eat Georgian food. So in short, choose a different cooking class if you want to learn and you want to actually eat the food you make.

Unfortunately, our regular chef was unavailable that day due to a personal matter, and another instructor led the class. We apologize if this affected your experience.
Regarding the dough, we would like to clarify that khinkali dough cannot be prepared from start to finish during the class because it requires several hours of resting before it can be used properly. For this reason, we explain and demonstrate the full dough-making process, while participants work with dough that has been prepared in advance. However, every guest prepares their own khachapuri dough completely from scratch during the class.
We appreciate your comments and will use them to continue improving our experience. Thank you again for visiting us, and we wish you a wonderful stay in Georgia.
