Our host was outstanding. His passion for his community is inspiring. The wine he chose was wonderful as was the pizza! There is no shortage of food in fact probably too much. I would suggest half a pizza per person rather than a whole pizza. My biggest complaint is the meeting point was very, very difficult to find. A taxi driver and two local people who read the name of the meeting place did not get us where we needed to be. When I called the phone number listed in the Viator app to contact the company it said the number was no longer in service. This was very, very frustrating. A text from the host at the first restaurant is what actually got us to the excursion. Had it not been for this issue I would have given this outing a 5 rather then a 4.

We loved our tour with Gennaro! He did a fantastic job of blending Neapolitan history with great food and drink. We only had a short time in Naples between our trains and we are so happy we booked the tour! He even walked us to the train station after and showed us exactly where to go!

Gennaro was our guide. He took us to the authentic daily market to sample real neopoltan food. Along the way showing street art and the local area. First stop was mozzarella, peppered salami and bread. My husband is still raving about the mozzarella saying it's the best he's ever tasted. Short walk brought us to a pizzeria, where the third generation owner gave us classic marinara pizza. Another delight. Then on to a patisserie for 'snowflakes' a delicious whipped ricotta bun. Next stop wine! Another family run business with wines from Vesuvius. A final short walk for expresso. Gennaro was a fabulous ambassador with passion for Naple. He gave us lots of tips and information about the area and further sights to see. As there was only the 2 of us on the tour this made it a personable and easygoing tour with no sense of being rushed. Despite the title of this experience there was no wine proposed or offered by our host. Sad to say that this is misleading & an inaccurate advertisement - disappointed. Tour is advertised as approx 2 1/2hrs but our host said his farewells after 1hr & 40 minutes. Examples of street art shown and history of the area explained. Walking was gentle. Food tasting options were plentiful but some waiting around experienced between food outlets - likely poor organisation by the host.

So. Much. Good. Food! This tour was great, not too much walking between food stops, but still got to see the authentic neighborhoods and learn the history between our delicious food tastings.

From the first moment the guide treated us very well we passed through very interesting sites and tried many types of typical foods and drinks of Naples. It was an unforgettable experience.

The tour was good, Roberto was great, he was both funny and very knowledgeable. The tour took us into a very local area and included all local dishes, cheese, salami, bread, fried pizza, sweet dish, beer and wine. Roberto explained everything with ease and was attentive throughout the experience. Would def recommend and worth the money.
