This private island tour was one of the highlights of our holiday. Our guide, Andre, was a proud local Zakynthian, and his passion for the island really shone through. He had such a lively personality, kept the atmosphere fun from the moment we set off, and had everyone singing along to great music on the bus. It felt more like a day out with friends than a guided tour. With only 17 people from all over the world, the group was the perfect size—friendly, relaxed and never overcrowded. We began with a coffee stop overlooking a beautiful bay before heading to the spectacular Shipwreck Beach viewpoint. The views were absolutely breathtaking. We then enjoyed a magical three-hour boat trip, stopping at secluded bays with crystal-clear turquoise water where we could swim and soak up the beauty of the island. Later, we visited a traditional mountain village to sample delicious local cheeses, wines and olive oil, giving us a real taste of authentic Zakynthian life. The day ended at a stunning cliff-top restaurant with incredible panoramic views—an unforgettable setting to reflect on such an amazing experience. Andre’s local knowledge, enthusiasm and love for Zakynthos made the whole day truly special. If you want to see the island beyond the beaches and create memories you’ll treasure, I couldn’t recommend this tour more highly.
