We had an incredible experience on this tour! Traveling with my daughter made it even more meaningful. Our guide, Jacqueline, was excellent, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She made sure everything went smoothly and helped make the day truly enjoyable. The Maasai family welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like honored guests. They generously shared their culture, traditions, and way of life, creating an authentic experience that we will never forget. Their warmth and hospitality were the highlight of our visit. The only reason I didn't give any logistical suggestions beforehand is that the tour description did not mention the village was approximately three hours away each way, and that the journey was in a private car. Knowing this in advance would have helped us better plan for the long drive. Overall, it was a wonderful cultural experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Kenya. Thank you to Jacqueline and the Maasai community for such a special day!
Guide was knowledgeable and gave us a great intro into the Masai world. The people in the village were so warm and inviting. Love all the colors surrounding us, the singing and beautiful big smiles. Highly recommended.
There are a few Maasai Village Tribes and experiences. Make sure to pick an authentic experience with a good tour operator.
I booked this trip as a solo traveler and was pleasantly surprised that it was a private tour! Simon was great - he explained about the culture and area we would be visiting as well as more about Kenya during the drive. When we got to the market - everyone seemed to know him! It was a great experience with very few tourists. In the village, everyone was so friendly. Elizabeth was amazing and so easy to talk to. I had a great time seeing the houses and how they, and the furniture, are all constructed by the women (!!). We shared a traditional meal of ugali and it was great. I did read ahead and brought some pens and first aide products and they were greatly appreciated.
Wow what a great time. It was just me and the tour guide so it felt like a personal VIP experience. I felt completely safe and Jacqueline was a very knowledgeable and personable tour guide. I definitely recommend this experience!
Really a beautiful day, ns had good times in the company of this tribe who we make an overview of their daily life, prepare a meal from their homes, milk goats, make jewelry, traditional song and dance...
My friend and I had a great time on this tour. Everyone was so sweet and we enjoyed sharing ugali and talking about life together in one of the homes. It was really cool to be able to experience their culture and how they live. They are very open and will answer any questions you have about their culture and way of life. We felt very welcome in their space! If I get the chance to do this tour again, I 100% will!
