Our private desert experience with khalid was truly the highlight of our visit to Oman. While many visitors explore Wahiba Sands on a short 4x4 day trip, this experience offered so much more—a genuine opportunity to discover the beauty of the desert and the traditions of its Bedouin people. Starting from Bidiyah (Bediyah), we enjoyed a private camel trek across the golden dunes, allowing us to experience the peaceful rhythm of the desert at a slower pace. Along the way, khalid shared fascinating stories about Bedouin culture and their way of life, making the journey both educational and memorable. Watching the spectacular sunset over the dunes was magical, and spending the night in a traditional Bedouin-style camp under a sky full of stars was an unforgettable experience. After enjoying delicious local meals, we woke early to witness a breath-taking desert sunrise—an incredible moment that will stay with us forever. Khalid was an exceptional guide throughout the trip. His warm hospitality, professionalism, and deep knowledge of Wahiba Sands made us feel safe, welcome, and completely immersed in the experience.

Visited Wadi Bani Khalid and the Wahiba Sands on a day trip from Muscat. The itinerary covered a lot of ground — emerald wadi pools, golden dunes, quad bikes, camels, and a visit to a traditional Bedouin home. Stunning scenery and a well-rounded cultural experience. Khalid AlRaqadi was my guide for the day, just the two of us, which made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. When I asked about adding a wadi stop, he rescheduled the whole day and moved the start two hours earlier without hesitation — just to make sure we had enough time. His knowledge of Omani history was impressive and his English was excellent. It felt less like a guided tour and more like exploring with a knowledgeable local friend. We shared a traditional Omani meal together during the day, and he also helped organise my airport transfer at the end. That kind of personal attention makes a real difference when you're travelling. Highly recommend asking for Khalid by name.

We had a great time going on a private tour of the desert with our tour guide, Said. He was extremely professional, friendly and able to answer all of the many questions that we had about Oman's history, culture and geography. We did the camel riding and quad bike acitvities, and they were both a lot of fun. In particular, we found the quad biking was a very unique experience (kind of like snowmobiling, but it's hot instead of cold) and I would highly recommend that to anyone into motorsports. To finish off the tour, we had lunch at a local restaurant that served delicious and simple food. The majority of the other guests seemed to be local people, so I would recommend it if you're looking for an authentic eating experience.

We had an absolutely wonderful day with our amazing driver. He was incredibly friendly, patient, and made sure we had all the time we needed at each stop. Thanks to him, the entire trip was relaxed, enjoyable, and truly unforgettable. He shared helpful information along the way, drove very safely, and always made us feel comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We truly appreciate his hospitality and would gladly book with him again. Highly recommended!
