Great time in our tour guide Joanna was fantastic. We had a nice tour around the island and were back on time for our cruise. Wine tasting was nice as well.
Very large bus group and Very poor time management by tour team if you are time sensitive stay away from this tour team please is waiting for people and people from many bus stops and stop on the way to locations
We regret to hear that you were disappointed, and we believe this may have stemmed from an expectation of a private tour, which was mentioned when you met your guide. Please note that private tours are clearly labeled with the word “PRIVATE” in the title and are typically priced significantly higher than €100 per person. If you are particularly time-sensitive or prefer not to make couple brief stops along the tour route to pick up a few fellow travelers, we strongly recommend opting for a private tour, which offers complete privacy and a personalized pace. Touring Rhodes was a fantastic experience. The Old City tour made the experience of a lifetime. Of all the Greek Islands toured (Mykonos, Crete, Santorini) Rhodes displayed the best of Greece.
An amazing boutique tour of Rhodes Island that included visiting some amazing archaeological sites that tourists often don’t have the opportunity to see as the city has so many other extraordinary historic places to visit! The highlights were visiting Filerimos, the ancient Kamiros and Kritinia Castle! The lowlight was the lunch at a local taverna. Our small group was dropped off in a village with 4 other large tourist groups. All tourist groups were dished up the same Greek salad and appetiser but with a ‘choice’ for a main. It was really disappointing that our small group could not have been taken to another local taverna to choose our food and drink. Also the ‘wine’ was unpalatable which left everyone disappointed as we all enjoyed drinking wine. The wine tasting was some local vineyard that doubled as a souvenir shop. It was a bit misleading that this was the only wine tasting experience on the tour. The tour guide and driver were great though! Also, expect to spend at least an hour in the bus collecting people from across various parts of the island.
Went on a guided tour with Margerita (tour guide) and John (driver) Had a fabulous time with Sigma Travel . We went to a number of places, including Butterfly Valley and a local Taverna in Apollonia for our lunch, which this was very nice, included wine and it was really good value. We were kept informed about everything we saw and Margerita was extremely pleasant and polite; answering any questions she was asked. The entire trip was very good and we would highly recommend this to anyone thinking about going on a day trip with Sigma. Only negative was an extremely rude foreign family who had booked themselves on the wrong trip. Margerita handled the situation exceptionally well. Well done Margerita, you are a credit to your company.
Great tour to see the best of Rhodes. Guide went with those who wanted to climb to see the Acropolis. Not much time to grab a lunch so I suggest bringing something to snack on.
The title of the tour is not correct. We drove one hour to sample oils and honey. We were then told to get something to eat and shop and meet her in two hours at the bus. Drove back to the old area of Rhodes, had a 20 minute tour, and sampled 4 wines at a restaurant. This tour was basically a $98.00 bus ride
We regret to hear that our bestselling tour did not meet your expectations. Allow me to address the concerns you raised: 1. This tour lasts for six and a half hours, which is considered a full-day tour by travel industry standards. 2. The one-hour drive from the port was intended to explore Lindos, one of the most beautiful and popular sights not only in Rhodes but in all of Greece, rather than just tasting honey and oil. 3. After the guided part of the Lindos tour, we offer free time for our guests to dine, rest, shop, and explore as they wish. 4. We then take our customers to a pottery workshop where local artists demonstrate how a piece of clay is transformed into a piece of art. This is also where the same family owners, who press their own olive oil and collect honey, offer tastings of both products. 5. Next, we visit the Old Town of Rhodes to explore its Medieval City, which UNESCO has recognized as one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Europe. 6. After the guided tour of the Old Town, we invite our guests to one of the oldest and most popular restaurants in the area for an elaborate wine tasting of the most delicious wines, followed by free time in the Old Town. If, among all the mentioned sights and activities, tasting local products is the only thing that remains in your memory, we agree that you wasted your $98.00 USD. The travel intentions of some cruising Americans can indeed be quite puzzling😊
A great full day tour. Highly recommended. A very knowledgeable tour guide provides all the information. Everything was on time and went perfectly.
The trip was amazing. The tour guide and driver were brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Lindos was wonderful experience.
Not worth the money. First of all the pick up came late (although they warned us that this could happen due earlier pickups but it really sucks to wait because of unnecessary delays in a hot weather) Our guide lady was really nice and non of this is her fault, I don’t think that she’s the one who sets up the tour. Anyway the clay factory was really nice though! Lots of nice things to buy! Although we were not introduced nor we got a chance to try out olive oils/honey which they say we will try in their tour description. We were not asked to even enter the specific building. But it is what it is :) When we got to the Lindos we got around 2 hours “free” time from which we actually had to choose either we want to go up the hill to see the Ancient Greek site or to stay in the Lindos village because in reality you can’t do both. If you choose to go upstairs then you have left around 30 min in the village afterwards if you are lucky enough or sporty so that you can sprint down and through the village. Also the village and the stairs up the hill was crowded! On those small streets you can barely move. Back in the Rodos from the old town we did see exactly one street more or less. We were taken to the wine tasting right away. We stopped though to take a picture at one place. At the wine tasting we did taste 4 kinds of wines but we had to do it so fast that the waiter actually said to chug it… Also if you want to see the actual old town in reality you have to choose between wine tasting or to see something and if you choose the second one, you have around 30-40 mins max. After that straight to the bus and to the drop offs. And we are done for the day! Not even mentioning that there is no time for food, no time for bathroom tours :) So people please take your own food with you or at least some snacks because there is no time for eating anywhere. While you will look for food- poof your tour is done and you did see just a food shop! So the whole tour is super rushed and there is no time to actually stop and see things. Such a bummer and disappointment afterwards.

Pick up: Apologies for the 7-minute delay in picking you up, which was due to the tardiness of previous passengers. They arrived late and offered their apologies. As per our policy, we allow a 10-minute grace period for late pickups. If you prefer not to wait for others, we suggest considering a private tour rather than a shared one. 2. Weather: You can verify this online—on May 9, 2024, at 9:30 AM, the temperature in Rhodes was 19°C. We are not sure about Russian standards, but by Greek ones, this is considered cold, which is why both locals and visitors tend to wear sweaters in the morning and evening during the early part of May in Rhodes. We apologize if we caused you melting during those 7 minutes. 3. Olive Oil/Honey Tasting: Your difficulty in finding olive oil and honey tasting sessions seems puzzling. There are no specific buildings; it is the property of the same family that introduced you to their pottery workshop. They also press olive oil and collect honey. According to the guide, Maria (whom you praised), and your fellow travelers, your tendency to stay apart from the group at each stop and your limited English skills may have prevented you from fully enjoying this part of the tour and the major information provided by your guide. By the way, according to English grammar, “the Rodos” contains several errors, including the use of “the,” which should not accompany such names. 4. Lindos: the visit to the Acropolis is optional, as clearly mentioned in the tour description you referred to. Your guide detailed two options: either climb 300 steps to visit the Acropolis, combined with a half-hour break for snacks or coffee, or explore the village and enjoy a relaxed meal in a tavern-style setting. The choice was entirely yours. 5. Restroom breaks: The term "bathroom tours" is unclear. If you were expecting such an inclusion, you booked the wrong tour. If you are referring to restroom breaks, they are available throughout the tour, saying nothing of two hours of free time in Lindos and one hour of leisure in the Old Town. If you desire more time to explore such areas, we strongly recommend considering a private tour rather than a shared one. 6. Wine Tasting: It’s important to note the value of English proficiency, especially when traveling. Wine tasting is available during leisure time in the Old Town, though attendance is optional. It is not a substitute for the guided tour in The Old Town; rather, it is offered alongside or as an alternative to leisure time following the guided tour. This arrangement allows wine enthusiasts to enjoy tasting sessions post-tour, while others may explore, shop, or dine in The Old Town. 7. Tour Pace: If a 6.5-hour tour, including 3 hours of leisure time, feels rushed to you, we strongly recommend considering a private tour or exploring independently. We suspect that the real reason for your disappointment stems from the midnight cancellation/refund request you made the previous night, which was denied in accordance with our cancellation policy.
