Mihai was an excellent guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, not only of the Communist era, but all Bulgarian history as well as Bucharest landmarks. In addition, Mihai has a very winning personality and he operated at a very comfortable pace. We would highly recommend this tour.
We had a wonderful time with Mihai, learning about the history that shaped Bucharest and Romania. So much to learn, he has such a deep and insightful perspective. We highly recommend!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm delighted you enjoyed exploring Bucharest's history with me, from the communist era and the 1989 Revolution to the wider story of Romania's culture, heritage, and identity. It was a real pleasure sharing these stories and perspectives with you. Thank you again for the recommendation, and I hope to welcome you back to Romania someday! Warm regards, Mihai Tour Manager & Guide, Unveil Romania
This was an excellent tour. Mihai was a great guide and took us around the main sights as planned. We saw everything we hoped for and didn’t feel rushed at any point. He was exceptionally knowledgeable. Would highly recommended this walking tour.
We enjoyed our visit and tour immensely. Mihai is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. The conversation flowed seamlessly about the city, history, local culture and people. Mihai brought insight to a city and people we knew little about and only wished we had more time, but now we have a reason to return. Thank you for a wonderful day and getting us started on our journey. Highly recommend the tour and Mihai as your guide. S&G
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m really glad you enjoyed your first day in Bucharest and that the tour helped set the tone for the rest of your journey. It was a pleasure spending the time with you both and sharing conversations about the city, its history, and everyday life. I’m especially happy to hear that it left you wanting to return — that’s always the best compliment a guide can receive. Wishing you a wonderful cruise along the Danube, and safe travels throughout your journey! Warm regards, Mihai Tour Manager & Guide, Unveil Romania
A brilliant tour Learnt a lot while also sharing time with a great guide in Mihai & seeing the city
Thank you very much for your kind words! I’m really glad you enjoyed both the tour and our time exploring the city together. Sharing stories, ideas, and a genuine interest in Bucharest always makes the experience even better for me as a guide. Wishing you all the best and safe travels! Mihai’s warm welcome really set the tone of the the day. He is extremely knowledgable and personable. You will get out of this tour as much or as little as you like and his real skill is tailoring the experience into what you want to get out of it as he has a natural ability to adapt to the audience. As a keen historian, this tour was absolutely perfect for me as he engaged in discussion and sharing opinions with me, as opposed to a pre made speech which other guides would give. He asks thought provoking questions and gives passionate and insightful views. The tour was relaxed and didn’t feel on a strict schedule or like he was clock watching. By the end of the tour we wished we could take him with us for the remainder of our visit, as he was so easy to get on with and we learned so much. He is clearly passionate about his work, and the experience was the highlight of the holiday.
Thank you so much for this wonderful and thoughtful review! I’m truly glad the tour resonated with you, especially from a historian’s perspective. Being able to adapt the experience, exchange ideas, and explore different viewpoints is exactly what I aim for — no two groups (or conversations) are ever the same. It was a real pleasure guiding you and your friends, and hearing that the tour was a highlight of your holiday means a great deal to me. Wishing you all the best, and I hope our paths cross again in the future! Warm regards, Mihai Tour Manager & Guide, Unveil Romania

The private tour of communism was amazing. Our guide Andra met us at our hotel lobby so we did not have to locate a separate location. Andra was very informative and honest. She shared many first hand personal experiences from her family life. This approach made the experience come alive. She planned the walking tour in a very sequential manner helping us to understand how the rule of communism affected the population. At the conclusion of the tour she asked how she could help us. As a result she walked with us to our next location. We highly recommend this tour and Andra as a guide. Worth every penny. You won’t be disappointed.
Excellent tour and the guide Bogdanwas very knowledgeable and helpful was on time A pleasure to deal with at all times
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share the history of the town. He also had a great sense of humour and one of the best guides we have had anywhere on our travels
Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm especially glad you appreciated both the historical depth — from Belle Époque elegance to the brutalist Soviet-era style — as well as the humor along the way. I truly believe a good story is best told with a smile. It was a real pleasure to be your guide, and hearing that this was one of the best tours you've experienced on your travels means the world to me. Safe travels, and I hope to welcome you back someday!
