Great Experience! A wonderful tour to learn more about the geology, the beautiful mountain area, the nature and food of Gran Canaria. The sunset from Pico de la Nieves is an unforgettable moment. A wonderful trip. It really surprised me. What was supposed to be a short trip turned out to be a wonderful adventure. I recommend it because it's worth it. Maud and Dawid were really cool’s guys.

A truly fabulous day out !
We really enjoyed the day.
Our guide Daylos was really informative & knowledgeable on the area. He made it a fun day. The local cuisine in the hill top restaurant was very nice but we especially enjoyed the climb to Roque Nublo. Daylos was really good in taking pictures for the group & knew the best spots! The sun set at the top of the hill was the cherry on the top. A nice touch with the toffee liqueur for everyone!
All in all a fab day out.

Volcanea – Volcano Heart Self-Guided Tour (via web app)
I tried Volcanea’s new Volcano Heart Self-Guided Tour and honestly, it’s one of the smartest ways to explore Gran Canaria if you want freedom without missing the story behind what you’re seeing.
The web app is super easy to use, the GPS guidance makes the route feel effortless, and the audio content genuinely feels like having a local guide with you (minus the schedules and group pace). We loved being able to stop whenever we wanted for viewpoints, short walks, photos, and coffee breaks, then just pick up the tour again when we felt like it.
A big plus: it works great out in the mountains where coverage can be patchy, and the content goes beyond “fun facts” — geology, culture, nature, and practical tips that actually help on the road.
Also worth mentioning: the first stop at Caldera de Bandama is free, so you can try it before committing. After that, it’s very hard not to want the full experience.
If you’re the kind of traveler who likes independence but still wants a real, well-crafted narrative, Volcanea is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

A great experience!
A very good experience with Volcanea. We started with the free first stop at Caldera de Bandama and we liked it so much that we decided to buy the full tour. Since we were driving our own car, we could go at our own pace without any rush. The videos and information provided at each stop are very interesting and everything is clearly explained. Our favorite part was ending the tour watching the sunset at Pico de Las Nieves. Highly recommended! 👌
