I highly recommend this experience to everyone, and especially recommend Paulina as a guide! She was absolutely wonderful—knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly passionate about sharing the history and culture of not only Cotopaxi, but Quito as well. Paulina shared so much fascinating information about the mountains and volcanoes surrounding Quito, and you could really tell how knowledgeable she is. She made the experience engaging, enjoyable, and truly memorable for us. If I have the opportunity to do this again, I would definitely choose Paulina as our guide once again. She made our experience extra special, and we would love to come back to Quito in the future!

Great experience start to finish. Thorough communication and perfect English. Everything went well. Highly recommend. There were no crowds until we got to the base camp because this is curated to avoid them.

This tour was great! Adrian was an amazing guide!! 😄 One thing I was a bit disappointed about was that the horseback tour was not private, I was paired up with someone else that did a private tour. The main reason I booked the private option instead of the group is because I'm an experienced horseback rider and didn't want to be grouped with beginners. Otherwise, it was an amazing tour. The horseback ride was beautiful. The hike was very difficult as I had to make many stops due to the altitude, and I almost didn't make it but I pushed through. I would recommend bringing a hiking stick and pair of water proof clothes you can change into so you don't have to wear wet clothes for the rest of the tour. The hike was wet, windy, and it was about 10 degrees. For a Canadian, it's just another fall day hahah. For any Canadians that do make it to the base camp, pls bring a Canadian flag as they don't have one yet! I would absolutely recommend this tour for the fit and adventurous! Great way to see Ecuador!!

This was such an amazing experience from start to finish! The horseback riding and Cotopaxi hike were definitely some of the highlights of my trip to Ecuador. Alva was wonderful! Very friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and made the experience feel comfortable and enjoyable. She was genuinely involved throughout the tour and made sure I was doing okay, especially during the hike. You could really tell that she cared about making sure I had a great experience, not just checking off the activities on the itinerary. I also really appreciated how involved and attentive Jorge was. Communication was great, everything was well organized, and they were there to make sure everything went smoothly. That level of personal attention really made a difference and made me feel well taken care of throughout the day. The horseback riding was so much fun, and seeing Cotopaxi up close was absolutely breathtaking. It was one of those experiences that I know I’ll remember for a long time. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you want more than just a typical sightseeing experience. The people genuinely care about their guests, and that really shows. They also didn't cancel my booking even if I was the only tour participant Thank you, Alva, for making this such a memorable part of my Ecuador trip! ❤️🇪🇨

We had an amazing time on this tour of Cotopaxi. Our guide Adrian was fluent in English, and very patient with us throughout the day, especially during the hike where we struggled with the altitude since we live at sea level. We had good conversation and he explained many things throughout the park. He was a safe driver and guide and I would 1000% recommend this to anyone interested in seeing Cotopaxi. The horses and landscape were breathtakingly beautiful. This was by far our favorite part of our trip to Ecuador.

We had Jorge as our tour guide and he was great! Explained everything well and was very patient with the group while hiking up to base camp. The horseback riding was a great way to see the vast grasslands of Cotopaxi National Park.

We had an amazing day visiting Cotopaxi with Dario as our guide. He picked us up directly from our hotel and took us to the horseback riding portion of the trip, then up toward the volcano and the refuge area. Our group was small, just four of us, which made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. Dario was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, funny, easy to communicate with, and clearly cared deeply about the work he does. One of the best parts was learning that he is part of the local chagra community, Ecuador’s traditional Andean cowboy culture. That made the horseback riding feel much more authentic and meaningful than a typical tourist activity. The scenery was beautiful, the riding was memorable, and it was great knowing the experience supported the local community. It never felt overly commercial or touristy. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a more genuine way to experience Cotopaxi.
