Ryan was an outstanding guide and made the entire day feel effortless. He connected with us right away, kept everything organized without rushing, and shared just the right amount of insight at each stop. He also took us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch that we never would have found on our own. The Shinkansen from Kobe to Kyoto was a highlight in itself, and Ryan made sure we experienced it the right way. We covered a lot in Kyoto without it ever feeling overwhelming, which really speaks to how well he managed the day. If you have the chance to tour with him, take it.

We had the 8 hour private tour with Angelica. She was great at planning and communicating with us in advance, and tailored the tour to our preferences. Having visited Kyoto before, we wanted to focus on the less touristy temples and quiet lanes on the eastern side of town. She provided just the right level of info about each stop, and arranged a lovely lunch at a small traditional cafe. She was also happy to take photos for us. It was great to be met at the Kobe cruise terminal and be guided onto the shinkansen bullet train to Kyoto and back. One tip: be sure to clarify exactly which cruise terminal your ship will be docked at in Kobe, as there is more than one. We had a slight mix-up on this, our fault, but Angelica quickly made arrangements for us to meet at the train station instead, and we were on our way for the tour.

Wonderful experience through the nature and culture of Jeju island. Our guide Daisy was so polite, attentive and full of information. Perfectly organized with enough time to visit these amazing places.

We had the opportunity to see since beautiful shrines and temples. Also, we experienced the bullet train from Kobe. Angelica was wonderful!

On our third visit to Kyoto, we booked a private tour with Kirsten and it was the highlight of our trip. She created a custom, off-the-beaten-path itinerary including Keage Incline, Nanzen-ji, and Byodo-in in Uji—places we never would have found on our own. Everything was completely seamless and stress-free, from transportation to lunch, and her native English made communication effortless. She even took beautiful photos and followed up with a thoughtful summary. Our experience was wonderful. Our guide was polite, professional and knowledgeable. Our group of five, traveled by train with our guide to our destination city. Very flexible tour. We were able to choose attractions, activity level and places to visit. Having a personal guide helped us travel between train connections as their English was very good. Highly recommend.

Tiago was an excellent guide. very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. Did a good job of showing historic and cultural sites.

We decided to upgrade and do the trip to Kyoto by bullet train. Firstly because of time saved in travelling and secondly because I always wanted to try it. Ryan met us at our cruise terminal and we went by taxi to the train station. We went to buy tickets and navigated to our platform. I was relieved Ryan was there to guide us through everything. We took a metro and a regular train before taking the bullet train. We didn’t have reserved seats….sometimes easier than searching for your seat, though we did have to stand sometimes. Ryan took us through some back streets in Kyoto to avoid the crowds and explained the culture. We visited Shrines and Gardens and did a bit of souvenir shopping…he was very patient :). Our time was short as we had to be back on our cruise ship but Ryan had it worked out. We took a taxi to the station and then back in the bullet train and taxi to the port. A short but full day with no anxiety thanks to Ryan.
