初めての台北旅行を計画されている方、多忙なスケジュールに忙殺され、台北出張中に市内を旅行する機会が一度もなかった方には、この半日ツアーがお勧めです。台北の見どころは、故宮博物院、蔣介石記念館、龍山寺などです。 このガイドツアーを通して、半日で訪れるアトラクションの歴史や背景を垣間見ることができます。 その後、まだ自分の時間があり、自分で街を探索したり、自分のスケジュールで進めたりすることができます。

台北半日ツアーの最初に立ち寄るのは、世界的に有名な国立故宮博物院。 70万点近い中国語の古代工芸品や美術品のコレクションを擁し、8000年にわたる複数の王朝にわたる中国語美術史を展示しています。 中でも有名なのは、故宮博物院で必見の「翡翠岩キャベツ」と「肉形石」の2点。
次は、故・中華民国総統張介石の記念碑として印象深い「蔣介石記念館 」 。 正殿へは張介石の亡くなった年齢を表す89段の階段を上る必要がある。 ここでの衛兵交代式は正殿で毎時09時から行われる。
慰霊碑の荘厳な本堂のほか、建物を取り囲む絶妙な中国語庭園や広大な広場も見どころです。 早朝に来れば、気功の練習をしている人も見られます。
ツアーの続きは龍山寺で、現地の人々が幸運を祈ったり、心の平安を見つけたりしています。 ここでは、台湾の宗教的信仰と実践について学びます。 1738年に建立され、観音を祀った。 台北大空襲で寺は大きな被害を受けたが、観音像は空襲を免れた。 慈悲の女神以外にも、岳老（仲人神 ） 、 文昌帝君（文学神 ） 、 宋子ニアン（子連れの乙女）などを祀っている。 自分や家族のために祈ったり、占いブロックを投げたりして神に助言を求めたりすることもできます。
集合場所に戻る途中、西門店での送迎も選べます。

Edison Tour Company and Viator are excellent. Teresa the greeter/guide, saw me walking up to the meet point and greeted me right away, I did not have to ask, Teresa is terrific! James the tour guide is very knowledgeable, speaks English and showed things and explained history that I would not have seen and heard without him and Edison Tours
I took this tour on an extended layover in Taipei as I wanted to make the most of my time and see the city. This half day tour was perfect and included three cultural stops. The National Palace Museum is huge and houses so many artifacts that it would be hard to see them all. Our tour guide was able to show us the most valuable and important pieces and provide history and stories behind them. We were able to see the changing of the guard at Memorial Hall and visit the beautiful Longshan Temple. James our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge and kept us on time. This tour is great for anyone pressed for time that wants a taste of Taipei.

Everything was perfect. Tour guide was very nice. I very recommended this tour.
James was fantastic as a tour guide. We had a private tour with interesting background on the items in all of the places. I only had a few hours to sight see and this hits many of the major landmarks. You won’t regret going on this tour!
