Our Night Walk takes place in a natural rainforest, where every tour is unique and wildlife sightings vary from night to night. We never use captive animals or artificially place wildlife along the trail, so what we encounter depends entirely on nature, the weather, and the animals' activity. Unlike experiences that focus only on ponds or gardens, our tour is a guided hike through the tropical rainforest at the base of Arenal Volcano. As we explore the forest, we search for a wide variety of nocturnal wildlife, including frogs, snakes, insects, spiders, birds, and mammals in their natural habitat. While many guests are excited to observe these animals and learn about the rainforest ecosystem, we understand that everyone's expectations are different. While Costa Rica is home to incredible species, including elusive predators such as pumas and jaguars, these animals naturally avoid human activity and are very rarely seen. Our focus is on observing wildlife responsibly in its natural habitat, from frogs, snakes, insects, and spiders to birds and, with a bit of luck, nocturnal mammals. We also appreciate your comments about the value of the tour. We strive to provide a high-quality experience with knowledgeable guides, small groups, and access to a beautiful rainforest at the base of Arenal Volcano.
