Very informative and fun! The 2 villages we went to were all great to see and felt different. Stratos our tour guide was knowledgeable, sweet, and very patient. Lunch in the marble village was delicious. 10/10 recommend
My wife and I were originally drawn to this tour because we are foodies who love small-group interactions, connecting with locals, and learning about regional food and culture. While the tour structure has potential, our experience was severely undercut by our guide. The Pros: * Excellent logistics: The transportation was modern and highly comfortable. * Intimate group size: Our group had only six people, with a maximum capacity of twelve, which felt ideal. * Cultural insights: The tour successfully highlights the culture and people of Greece. The Cons: * An overbearing guide: Our guide, Lionitis, talked incessantly. Inside the van, he forbade guests from speaking to one another while he was talking. While a quiet cabin makes sense during brief announcements, his constant talking left zero room for guest interaction. * No opportunity to socialize: Over a five-hour tour, we barely learned each other’s names and origins. A major draw of group travel is bonding with fellow travelers, but he completely blocked any personal connection. * Inappropriate commentary: Roughly half of his commentary focused on personal grievances rather than the tour itself. He repeatedly lectured us on what is wrong with the Greek government, the flaws of North American and European diets, and the evils of corporate food chains and utilities. * Inaccurate information: Many of the "facts" he shared were highly questionable. After fact-checking his claims regarding the population of Naxos, Greek tax policies for U.S. expats, and a bizarre myth about worms in McDonald's hamburgers, I found his information ranged from inaccurate to completely fabricated. Verdict: I cannot recommend this excursion if you are paired with this specific guide. While the tour might be wonderful with a different host, you unfortunately have no control over who your guide will be.
Great way to see Naxos if you don’t have a car. There was so much food. Definitely come hungry. I highly recommend this tour if you are in Naxos.
So much to see and do on the trip with our guide. There were only 3 of us on the tour so it made it intimate. Lots of driving over the island to see unique places and taste unique foods.
This is a great way to get out of the main town and explore the beautiful rural villages while enjoying local foods.

Elizabeth (guide) and Nikos (driver) gave us an amazing tour around the villages with food. The information about Naxos was incredible and the food was abundant. Nikos was such a skilled driver and Elizabeth had an amazing knowledge base. We would recommend this tour without hesitation for anyone interested in a deeper dive into Naxos history

I love booking food tours when traveling. It gives you a chance to try local cuisines and learn about the culture and history! Given that I think this tour was a bit lacking in the food offerings, while the villages we visited were beautiful and Elizabeth was great, I think for the dollar value the amount of food you get does not match the price. I wish there were more quick shops to try a variety of things. Instead the 1st two stops were sit down. 1st was light bites and tea to start, a main meal for the 2nd stop, and the last stop was a distillery (which if you are underage this does not serve you well). Additionally the last stop included dessert on the go but I think the last stop should have incorporated more food options. I think if this were a 3rd of the price it would be worth the value but for $200 USD per person it is a bit steep in comparison to other food tours I have done around the world. I would still recommend but please know you will likely leave this tour still hungry :(
This was a great tour. Elizabeth was super knowledgeable and introduced us to the lesser known parts of Naxos and their food traditions. We got to try lots of different items and learned so much about the history and economy of Naxos,
