Good option when you want some variety. The overall experience was good. The best part was visiting the 2 towns. Charming and fun. Expect the trip to be a bit bumpy as the roads are not great. The food at the restaurant they took us was ok but definitely an area to improve.
The best experience of my trip to Mexico. Unforgettable.
Full day tour with a lot of different stops. The guides and the hospitality were great. Highly recommend.
The tour itself went exactly as planned, and described. Was very happy with the transportation, the activities, the driver, and the guide. Our group was especially fun, and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.
Javier , his assistant and the driver were great, I highly suggest this trip. I suggest you have breakfast before going, very important.
Ranch stop & store stop was a little long, but good deal on a cowboy hat. Enjoyed the samples at distillery. Lunch was beautiful on the lake and enjoyed the very short boat ride- wish it could have been about an hour. The towns were both beautiful, but note you’re left on own to explore and shop. We enjoyed the long day.
It was an awesome experience. We had a great guide(javis). Very comfortable van, good ac, and fun vibes. It was a very organized schedule and each stop was even better than the next. I’d recommend booking this!
They scheduled for 10:15 to start at 10:30 AM, and the vans arrived after 11 in the morning. Since we had left late, we still returned for one person. The driver did not encourage the group to establish a friendship; we never knew what the travel companions were called or where they were from. He does not provide much information about the places we visited.
First of all, this was one of the worst tours I have ever experienced, and I would never recommend it to anyone. It may be cheap, but now I understand why. We arrived at the meeting point at 10:30 AM, only to be told that the vehicle assigned to our tour had broken down. We then waited more than 45 minutes for a replacement vehicle, and the tour did not actually begin until around 11:25 AM. Losing almost an hour before even starting was very disappointing. Our guide, Javier, seemed like a nice person and was friendly throughout the day, so this review is not directed at him personally. The problem was the tour itself and how poorly it was organized. The first stop was the Vicente Fernández Ranch. As a visitor from abroad, I understand that Vicente Fernández is an important figure in Mexican culture, but the stop felt completely unnecessary and added little value to the overall experience. It honestly felt like a waste of time. The next stop was Casa Calleros. Based on the description, I expected something closer to a tequila distillery experience. Instead, it felt more like a very small local tequila shop. The tequila tasting itself was fine, but there were mosquitoes everywhere, the weather was extremely hot, and the overall environment was far from enjoyable. The biggest disappointment was Lake Chapala, which was the main reason we booked the tour in the first place. We came to Guadalajara for the World Cup with our children, and even a local taxi driver told us that Lake Chapala was a must-see destination because of its beauty. Unfortunately, our experience was completely different. The area where we were taken looked neglected, the water appeared dirty, and the atmosphere was nothing like what had been described to us. To make matters worse, the restaurant where we stopped for lunch was not even the restaurant listed on the itinerary. After ordering, we waited approximately 45 minutes without receiving our food. The area smelled unpleasant, the children were exhausted, and my friend and I realized we were simply wasting valuable vacation time. At that point, we paid for our drinks, informed the guide that we were leaving, and ordered an Uber back to our hotel. The ride back took about 1 hour and 20 minutes. This was the first time in my life that I have ever left a tour halfway through. I rarely leave negative reviews because I understand that travel experiences can vary. However, this tour was poorly organized, significantly delayed, did not match expectations, and ultimately felt like a complete waste of both time and money. Save your time and choose a different tour.
Javier was an excellent guide, providing good explanations, very fun, and everything went according to the correct times in the itinerary. The weather was pleasant and the lake was very beautiful. We had fried fish 10/10, and the tequilas were also very tasty. Thank you very much
