Local pickup was really good. Comfortable transport, George the guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Saw loads of wildlife; black bears, goats, elk (absolutely loads), mule deer. Also showed us some stunning scenery. Excellent trip highly recommend.
Very good guide who drove safely and provided good local information and stories. Took us to good valley view sites, while the golf course elk harems (3) were great.
We did an evening tour with George who was absolutely brilliant - he is so knowledgeable, he made the trip entertaining and personal to each person. We saw elk, deer, an eagle, beautiful lakes and he taught us so much about bears! Amazing - would really recommend the trip. We wish we were staying longer to go again!
A wonderful tour! Our guide, Marnie, was terrific, very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and engaging. We saw tons of animals, including large groups of big horn sheep and elk. A very memorable trip!
Saw numerous male and female elk including two fighting with full racks, saw bull and calf bighorns and even a fox . Fortunate to have Marne from New Zealand as our guide. Stopped for enough time for all to take photos and we got some great ones
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We saw Elk including Male Bull Elk and heard his mating bugle call. Saw White tailed deer and mule Deer. Beautiful sights and lots of photos taken. Charlie was a fabulous guide and had good knowledge and even helped with photos. Bears are very elusive and not a guarantee. No tour can promise bear sightings.
George was informative and a great host
The trip is advertised as a 3-hour tour to Banff highlights and wildlife. Well, the tour ended after 2 and a half hours after a fairly rushed tour through well-known Banff highlights like the lakes and Bow Falls. Wildlife was in short supply, short of some elk sightings and a couple of small deer. None of the other wildlife mentioned in the tour description came out to play, or our guide didn't know where they might be found. While George was a perfecly nice individual who wanted to know where the 12 people on the tour came from, he didn't ask about what we would like to see or were most interested in. If he had, then maybe he could have used the missing half hour to please his customers. Overall, you'd get as much value by reading up about Banff and using a hire car to follow the route that the bus (and buses from other companies) followed.

The three hours covers the full tour including drop offs, so time at the sights themselves is naturally a bit less than that. That's how it's always worked, not a shortened tour. This tour covers a set list of Banff highlights for the whole group, rather than a custom itinerary shaped around individual requests once the bus is moving. George sticking to that is what keeps things running smoothly for everyone on board. On wildlife, we can never promise sightings. Elk and deer showing up is still a good day out there, the bigger names come and go on their own schedule, not ours. Sounds like this one just wasn't the fit you were hoping for, and that's fair enough, tours aren't one size fits all. Hope the rest of your time in the Rockies was a good one.
