We did this tour as well as the Best of Skopje tour. Both incredible! The guides do a great job of explaining the history in each location, and the driver (Miki #2) was extremely friendly and thoughtful. The tour was perfectly mapped out, and we really felt like we saw all of Macedonia. 10/10 would recommend.

6 months before my trip to 🇲🇰Macedonia, I contacted Mr. Miki who efficiently arranged all the ground logistics for my journey. Upon arrival at Skopje International Airport, I was pickup and greeted by Mr. Bogdan who proved to be one of the best drivers and travel guides I have ever had.😀👍🏻 Bogdan is not only a highly skilled and cautious driver but also fluent in English and exceptionally helpful in every aspect of my trip. He was punctual every morning, ensuring a seamless travel experience. Beyond that, he introduced me to some of Macedonia’s most remarkable sights, including many hidden gems I would have otherwise missed. His expertise and dedication greatly enhanced my trip, making it truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this trip to everyone.

From the first day while planning the trip to the final day of saying goodbye at the Skopje airport has been an fascinating journey for my friend and me. Miki has been very polite and helpful in planning the trip customized with our flights. Bogdan has been excellent with the drive throughout our days in North Macedonia. Our guide cum our friend Ivana has been very supportive and helpful with all our needs. The trip to Ohrid was a great way to see more of the country and to better understand the history and culture of North-Macedonia. Ohrid is a nice city (not to many tourists in May), and the view over the lake from the fortress was beautiful. Alexandar, or guide, was informative, professional, interested and answered all of our questions with great knowledge as well as with a more personal view. In retrospective there are a lot of questions we would have liked to ask, but we only first thought of them later. We would highly recommend this trip!

This was the perfect tour. It will appeal to lovers of art, history, and the great outdoors. Both my driver and guide were absolutely a joy and incredibly informative. One of the best tours I’ve ever had.

An absolutely perfect tour from start to finish! I was met with Daniela* at my accommodation, and we set off for Ohrid in a very comfortable car. Daniela gave me a quick history lesson of Macedonia and of Ohrid before we got there. In Ohrid, we were met by the guide, Ivana*, who then took me around all of the incredibly interesting sights in Ohrid, as well as the breathtaking views around the small town. I learnt about the rich history (churches, theaters) from Ivana, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the history behind all of the churches we went to, the fortress, the monastery, and of Mavrovo (and everything close by)! I even asked Ivana how she knew so much, and it's very clear that she just loves history and loves to share it even more with visitors. Highly recommended tour that goes throughout the entire day (it does take awhile to drive to Ohrid and to Mavrovo)! It was nice to not have to think about what to do, especially when traveling alone and have no one to bounce ideas off with. Going on a guided tour also makes it less lonely! Also, my personal favorite was the papermaking workshops that Ivana showed me near the start of the tour - one of seven places in the world that makes paper by hand (not a typo!) with the old traditional way. *Apologies for mis-spelling names!

Our trip covered many beautiful places around Western North Macedonia. Our tour guide, Suzanna, is deeply versed in Macedonian history and told us a lot about the history of Ohrid and also Macedonia as a whole. She even talked to different university professors to find out more about Macedonian history and was able to answer virtually every single question we had about the buildings and artefacts. We learned a lot about the Ancient Macedonian Kingdom and its connection to the modern North Macedonia, as well as the historical significance of each Orthodox church in Mavrovo and Ohrid. The tour was like a mini-historical and cultural lesson about Macedonia. The sceneries were brilliant for photo ops as well. The trip was truly worth it and we recommend it to anyone who will visit Skopje.
