We are quite surprised by this review, particularly as you did not actually take part in the tour. The tour you booked was a tour in Pisa, with a clearly indicated meeting point in Pisa, as are all of our Pisa tours. Unfortunately, we cannot know where each guest is travelling from, whether they are staying in Florence, arriving by car, train, or—as in your case—disembarking from a cruise ship in La Spezia. It is therefore the guest’s responsibility to check the distance and travel time from their own location to the meeting point indicated on the booking. We had no information that you were arriving from a cruise ship in La Spezia, so it would have been impossible for us to warn you about the approximately one-hour journey to Pisa. In fact, we were in contact with you the day before the tour, when you replied that you were looking forward to it. Had you simply mentioned that you were arriving by cruise ship in La Spezia or asked us about transportation or travel time, we would have been very happy to advise you. On the day of the tour, our guide was in Pisa at the agreed meeting point, ready and waiting for you. When you did not arrive, we contacted you and only then discovered that you were still in La Spezia and had not realised how far Pisa was. We are always happy to help our guests with directions and logistics when asked, but unfortunately we cannot know where every guest in the world is starting their journey from. For this reason, we find it rather unfair—and a little puzzling—to receive a negative review of a tour that you did not attend, due to a travel-planning issue entirely outside our control.
