I was a little concerned, because my pick up was a few minutes late. Thought I might have miss read where to go, but the van arrived. The driver was fun! The tour was well organized and informative!

Don’t take children as not suitable and it’s hot and a lot of walking over rough terrain. The history part is good but feel should have been able to see more but the tour guide took too long talking about a few of the places . Our tour guide was rude when I asked her a simple question about one of the sites .

Greeter was not easy to identify as he was not holding a sign with our name as indicated. This made for a stressful pick up after tendering ashore from our cruise ship.

It’s very hot in Pompeii and completely open to the elements (namely the sun and heat). It’s also bumpy and dusty underfoot so would recommend a good pair of trainers rather than wearing sandals. Minibus service on our trip was excellent - picked up and dropped off at our hotel, door to door and vehicle had great air conditioning. Tour guide at Pompeii was excellent and knowledgeable and headphones a perfect way to hear what she was saying in the big group and within crowds. Recommend the half day tour as quite tiring by the end of it. Lots of walking in the heat (August). Plenty of stores outside the entrance to get water/ice cream and if you were staying longer they had restaurants and cafes. Note: that you need to pay 50 cents to use the toilets.

The tour was very organized and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging! It was also very helpful to be picked up and dropped off at the hotel. The trip is a true 4-5 hours (with the actual tour lasting around 2 hours, which is the perfect length during the summer heatwave).

The tour was very well organized. The company even came ot pick us up from the port directly, along other tourists from their hotel, on our way to Pompei. On-site, we were given headphones to make sure we could hear the guide throughout the tour without problem, which came in very handy given the size of the site. The guide was very professionnal and knowledgeable. The tour was extremely pleasant, highly recommend.
