This review relates to the Kyrgyzstan part of the trip. We spent 7 days / 6 nights in the country, which was varied covering the highlights. Tati was our guide and an absolute treasure, her enthusiasm and knowledge was amazing. Whilst we visited a number of sites, the absolutely highlights for me was the eagle-hunting and the yurt building demonstrations. Tati was engaging throughout the trip; kind and caring and a true ambassador for her country, Kyrgyzstan would have not been the same without her sharing her love of the history of her country.

I am a solo traveler who joined a 23 day small group tour through all 5 Stans. Tatiana from DCAT was our guide through Kazakhstan and Kyrgistan. She spoke good, clear English and knew these countries' histories, ancient and modern, well. The road travel could be rough and long at times, but she arranged for sensible stops along the way. She handled a sudden health emergency of one of our group travelers professionally and without interrupting remaining guests' itineraries and plans. She was flexible in changing the itinerary to accommodate our needs/wishes. I re ommend her highly.

Fantastic trip and lovely, knowledgeable Guide Tati

Our tour was an excellent mix of travelling through mountains and seeing lakes of Kyrgyistan and SE Kazakhstan. Great to be in a group of like-minded travelers. Food was excellent. Hotels great. Fun to stay in a Yurt. Second week in Uzbekistan visiting some of the oldest cities in the world was wonderful. Ancient cities, a little Soviet influence (with apartment blocks and statues remain). I felt safe throughout. All concerns re carrying passport, crossing borders, only VISA card came to nothing and the tour was easy... although you need to be reasonably fit. Trains great, guides excellent. Highlight place was Bukhara.

This was a brilliant tour, packed with a thoughtful range of sights. Tina, the tour guide was very knowledgeable, accommodating to all of our needs and an absolutely faultless guide. She made the tour great. Would book again.

We went 16 days Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan & Uzbekistan by Exodus that it was run by Discover Central Asia Tours. This review is only for Kyrgyzstan & Kazakhstan. It was very nice to experience to two countries in 8 days. Especially our guide Vitaly was very good at all the history and specific issues just like a historian(his memory is amazing!!!). He also worked hard for our convenience and try hard to make run punctual the whole program. Also it was nice to have a written next day program (in WhatsApp) at the end of the day even it was told verbally in advance(easy to forget in a jet lag + tiredness + ….) It was really nice to have him as a 2 countries guide. Suggestions: 1. slightly bigger bus would be appreciated, 2. Amir hotel in Karakol in Kyrgyzstan needs to be more equipped as soon as possible (it looks like the building was recently added a third level and made rooms but the rooms are too basic and not yet ready to serve the guests)

My 1st joining a group tour. Kyrgyzstan & Kazakhstan tour guide Valentina was excellent. Unfortunately Kazakhstan was too short a visit!

We had Tina as our guide - she has been the best guide I've ever had - so knowledgeable and so caring and thorough - she looked after each of our needs - she was truly amazing

Our guide Tina made the first part of our tour in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan a great experience. Her knowledge and care for the group went way beyond expectations. Feeling very lucky to have had her - hope rest of the trip is as interesting.
