イスティクラル通りの北東端にあるタクシム広場は、1800 年代後半に建設された現代のイスタンブールの中心です。広場の南端の円形にある独立記念塔 (イスティクラル アヌトゥ) は、トルコ共和国の創設者であるケマル アタテュルクが軍の最高司令官として、また政治家としての役割を果たしたことを記念しています。

We had an 8 hour layover and wanted to see the city. The company provided video instructions on where to find our guide. Upon arrival to gate 14 we were escorted to a nice and clean Mercedes van. Our guide provided excellent knowledge of the key points of the Old City. We were then driven back to the airport wo any concerns or worries. This was the most seamless and amazing experience.
Mahdi was very accommodating and was always giving options on places to visit, which is a necessity for first time travelers. We were also able to adjust the schedule based on what is needed to timely catch our connecting flight
