You are required to have a phone to hear the audio. It needs to be a newer phone because of the ear phone connection. The.competitors red sightseeing buses outnumbered city sightseeing buses by 4 to 1 much more frequent. The bus stops did not have any markings to identify the stop.

We offer our audio commentary through our free City Sightseeing app, which requires a phone and headphones, but we also still provide wired earphones and audio via the bus system on board. We are sorry that this was not clearly explained and that the earphone connection was an issue with your phone. We will share your comment with our team to improve our information on board.
We also apologize that you found our frequency lower compared to our competitors and that the bus stops did not have any markings to identify the stop. Don’t do the Hop on Hop off sightseeing bus.
It is advertised as a 24 hour hop on hop off sightseeing bus. However the bus hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. We got off our ship at 1:00 and didn’t have time to do anything because the last bus was at 4:00 pm. We couldn’t hear the driver announce the various stops. The driver and other employees couldn’t decide which was the last bus to stop to the cruise terminal. I would not recommend this excursion to anyone.

Really bad experience
Really bad. Half of the trip was unavailble without informing in advance. One of the stops the bus didn’t leave for 15 minutes as they waited for another driver. And for more than half the trip the audio was not turned on so we did not hear about the sights we passed by. Would like our money back!!

VERY POOR DAY OUT
Terrible experience on the City Sightseeing hop on hop off bus in Stockholm… Bought a ticket that covered the bus, hop on and hop off boat and the ABBA museum… The boats never seemed to materialise and the busses were few and far between…. We used the RED Sightseeing bus yesterday in Helsinki and had great commentary and regular busses…. Today, we were hooked on by a guy from this outfit and got on their bus…. The bus was full of pensioners who were all frustrated as the headphones we were given couldn’t be plugged in. You had to log onto the bus WiFi then connect to the tour all using QR codes and this had to be done every time you changed bus…. You missed half the trip trying to connect to the commentary which was well out of sync with where you were and most of the folk on the bus just had no commentary at all….. Why can’t we just have plug in headphones like everyone else??…..We later tried to get the boat for the second time without success and then had to try and get a bus before they all stopped at 4.15! Waiting for the bus, 5 of the other operators busses passed before eventually one of City Sightseeing’s finally appeared….. A dreadful experience and one not to be recommended…… DONT USE THEM….. USE THE RED SIGHTSEEING COMPANIES BUSSES INSTEAD…..

This is awful
This is the worst service ever. There were 3 Red Sightseeing buses come by waiting for the City Sightseeing bus. In order to hear about where we were and information about the area didn’t work. So we got NO commentary about the city. I travel a lot and I enjoy the HO HO bus, but I will NEVER EVER EVER use the bus company again

Wish we’d read reviews before hand
Have done these hop on hop off tours in many towns and cities world wide and never experienced anything like it. Waiting an hour for a bus outside the ABBA museum and when it came it was very full standing room only. The driver kept packing folk in at subsequent stops. I had to stand the whole way back to stop 1. Very unpleasant and frankly unsafe. Was unable to listen to commentary due to no seats. Terrible

Average bus. For planning purposes give you self over and 1.5 hours to get back. The bus get bunched up and the take 30
Minutes breaks at certain stops. We ended up biking back to the cruise in order to make it back on time

Terrible customer service when things go wrong
On the 26/6/26 we were on a cruise and booked a hop on hop off boat for Stockholm. At the 2nd stop the boat broke down and had to make an unscheduled stop and everyone was offloaded. We were given no information about a replacement.
We contacted city sightseeing for a full refund and they do not acknowledge or reply, even after sending several reminder requests.
Terrible customer service and I don’t know where they get their claimed 4.5* reviews.

Good but slow
The tour is a good way to see the city. Unfortunately it was very difficult to know where and when pick up times were for each stop and the wait for the next bus was nearly an hour.

Audio guide out of order
The guy who sold the ticket was not helpful to explain where was the first bus stop
No audio guide in the bus, it is out of order!
