The free walking tour of Cartagena’s Walled City and Getsemaní is a must-do experience. I highly recommend taking it at the beginning of your stay, as it gives you a better understanding of the city’s history and allows you to appreciate the places you visit afterwards from a different perspective. I joined the morning tour, which starts at 10:00 a.m. in front of the Clock Tower. You can book it in advance through an agency or website, or simply show up at the meeting point and look for NEXPERIENCE’s orange umbrella. Tours are available in both English and Spanish. I took the English tour with Legaxy, and he made all the difference. His cheerful, fun, and engaging personality, combined with his knowledge and excellent storytelling, made the experience truly special. He shared a great deal of information without ever making the tour feel tiring, and he guided the group with warmth and enthusiasm throughout. I’m not easily impressed and tend to be quite demanding when it comes to this type of experience, but Legaxy’s tour genuinely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!
