Markus was our guide in Salvador da Bahia. Contacting him from Germany was completely uncomplicated and we quickly agreed that Markus should show us his Salvador. Markus is a great guide, very personable, knowledgeable about the area, competent and you can tell that he enjoys his tours. There were four of us and Markus picked us up in his SUV. We visited the fort, the church of Bonfim, the lower and upper town, the lighthouse, the Mercado Modelo, the church of Sao Francisco and much more. On the way, Markus provided us with all kinds of interesting facts about history, the country and its people and religion. For lunch we stopped at a very nice restaurant with a view over the harbor. The local food was delicious. Dear Markus, thank you very much for your time and an unforgettable day in Salvador.
