京都の染工房の体験教室（60～90分）で、2つの絞り染め技法、傘巻き絞りと縫い締め絞りを学びましょう。 展示フロアには絞り染めの美術作品、工具、サンプルなどが展示されています。 工房のショップで販売されているさまざまなオリジナル商品、お土産、生地もお見逃しなく。

布を死ぬための多くのテクニックがあります。この体験中に、笠巻とぬしめの2つの方法を試すことができます。笠巻法は、作成したい形状に縫い付け、糸をしっかりと引っ張り、次に糸を生地の円錐の周りに数回巻き付ける手法です。ヌイシメ法は、線に沿って縫い付けた後、糸をしっかりと引っ張る手法です。 笠巻絞りとぬいしめ絞りを使用して絹の布を染めた後（38cm x 38cm）、京都への旅の素晴らしい思い出となる美しい絹の布ができあがります。クラスは通常個別に開催され、約60分から90分かかります。 手順： •お気に入りのデザインと色を選択します。 •笠巻絞りの説明を聞く。 •生地に笠巻絞りを使用します。 •絞りしぼりの説明を聞く。 •布にぬいしめ絞りを使用します。 •染色スタジオに行き、生地を染色します（約5分）。 •布をすすぐ。 •展示フロアに行き、DVDを見て、絞りについて詳しく学び、生地が乾くまで（約30分）絞りの展示をご覧ください。 •クラスルームに戻ります。 •糸をほどいて切断します。 •生地を開いて結果を確認します。追加料金なしで絞り着物を試着することもできます。ミュージアムショップでは、さまざまな絞り項目、お土産、布なども販売しています。

This was a highlight of our time in Kyoto. The instructors were very capable and knowledgeable, but most of all they showed delight in our achievements, sharing our excitement at the reveal. After the class, we were given an informative personal tour of the museum, at our own pace, with patience and pleasure.
Good to learn the history, different techniques. The info video was helpful along with staff providing information.
We had a wonderful time at this class. It was so much fun learning about and creating our shibori. We had so many professional Shibori makers all around us and they were so happy and excited to help us learn. We also got to tour the museum which is full of absolutely amazing art pieces. It's such an intricate and unique way to decorate fabric it's awe-inspiring to see the works in the museum. My entire family enjoyed this activity. I would do this class everyday if I could. We highly recommend this class.
Great visit to this family run museum. We had a great time doing a brief shibori class. The attention from the staff was excellent and the class was fun. The staff were also well informed regarding the history and process of shibori. The display was well set up and we had a great hour or so here.
The workshop was so much fun -- just the right level of challenge for an absolute beginner like me -- and i was so pleased with the outcome! The instructor was great -- patient and explicit -- and I got the chance to explore the museum while my shibori was drying. I would definitely recommend this experience!
What a wonderful way to spend a hot afternoon in Kyoto! Roy was careful in his teaching, helped me learn the process while supporting understanding it as well. Got a terrific piece of wrapped shibori out of it as well.
