This was a scam. We spent 30 minutes in the cold trying to find the website. We finally found the website and could not access the tour/scavenger hunt.
The tour is clearly labeled as "self-guided". We send instructions through your Viator account when you book, to convert the purchase on our website. We can also do this for you. Your purchase remains valid as there is no expiration date. Did you try contacting us by phone or email?
Took an hour to get started. Not worth the money. Could have done this for free. I would just get a map of places to see.
Sorry you did not enjoy it. Can we make it up to you by offering you another tour is a different neighborhood or city?
We tried another similar activity before but this one was much less complicated. It did a loop so easy to get to and leave from. There were many challenger, some tough and other really easy. And many familiar sights

It was a fun activity to get to know the area! An opportunity to learn the history of Old Montreal and surroundings
The at- your- own-pace format works well with young children, and while the stops on the tour were interesting to adults, the clues were frequently suitable for kids to help find. Unfortunately we spent so much time at the museum at the beginning of the tour (the museum was awesome, we regret nothing!) that we were unable to complete the tour, but we would sign up for another tour without hesitation. Great way to explore an unfamiliar city!

The registration process was a bit tedious because you have to sync your viator purchase with the scavenger hunt website. But once we started it was fantastic! It took us to many places we would have just walked by and missed the back story of we did not have this guide. All in all we walked 7 miles and leisurely took our time throughout the day by stopping at shops and cafes interspersed between our challenges. I gave it 4 stars because some of the clues were not exactly accurate which sent us on a wild goose hunt a few times. (Wrong st name “st Pierre” or confusing direction “east, west, left, right”) but we had such a great time and it really got us exploring. Definitely give this a try!

This is an enjoyable stroll through old Montreal if you like self guided tours, walking and scavenger hunts. Take your time and enjoy some breaks along the way! Weather will have a lot to do with enjoyment of tour.
