James is an excellent tour guide in all aspects. He is very knowledgeable and definitely known throughout London Tower.

Even though it was raining buckets, our tour of The Tower was the highlight of our trip to London. James was an excellent guide. We could have spent the entire day learning more about the history of The Tower and its current workings, as well. My husband and I ended up being the only people in the group that day so we had a private tour for a very reasonable price. I can't recommend this tour with James enough.

Our guide was very professional , friendly and knowledgeable. His passion for this period of history was evident in how he conducted the tour. Mr Hands tour far exceeded our expectation! Our guide, James, is the quintessential English gentleman with the knowledge and experience to give a fascinating tour of this most interesting place. And in fact he seemed to be on a first name basis with many of the Tower staff and beefeaters we encountered on our walk through the Tower grounds, giving us a further sense of his familiarity with the place. James told many fascinating stories, taking us through the history of the Tower and recounting the lives of many famous and infamous people who passed through or were locked up within its walls. A “must see” in London, any Tower tour is even better if you’re lucky to land James as your guide!
