バンコク発カンチャナブリ終日ツアー

The place Kanchanaburi itself is great. I found the guiding experience a little bland. What was written at the museum was what told to us, nothing extra. But fine overall.

We were a group of 6 and enjoyed the day tour. The tour includes the train trip in 3rd class (2nd last carriage) and we had rhe carriage almost to ourselves or you can pay and extra 300 baht to get the same experience and a bottle of water. Lunch was a excellent waterfront restaurant and we had plenty of time allotted ro explore each stop.

A full day one but interesting and good value. War cemetery for the death railway. Very moving. Great to walk over the bridge and then a train ride along the railway for a lunch stop

Good content, not such a good guide, which sort of spoilt the experience. The guide (Mr Om) appeared to not be interested in either the content of the trip, nor the passengers. He wore his EarPods most of the trip, so asking questions was not an option. He did give us the necessary information about the history of the museum , however we could have read the captions inside, but that was it. He did not tell us (nor did the company (Sunrise Tours) that if we wanted a seat on the train we would have to pay extra (in Thai Baht cash, approx $15 each), nor the boat ride (also $15) . Lunch was provided, however it was basic, although the place was clean and Om bought us all 1 bottle of water. The trip cost us $234/2people (more than some other trips), hence do not think this was a good value trip to the Kwai.. Of course as an Australian the journey will be memorable, as (I guess) will the poor service received on the day. The company also said that we would be picked up from our hotel, however my husband had to contact them to ensure this happened. Other passengers, not so lucky (although the driver did ((when asked)), return them to their hotel. We also tipped Mr Om thinking he would share with the driver, however, as he got off the bus with us, leaving the driver to take the other people to their hotel we suspect this did not happen. As an aside, unless you want to spend time on the Kwai or in surrounding villages, then one day from Bangkok would be enough. We were going to do the overnight tour, however, thankful that we didn't.

Very informative and thought provoking trip. Although aware of how the bridge was built, I now understand why and how many poor souls lost their lives. The conditions they suffered are at best unimaginable. The cemetery is beautiful and so kept. If there are families that have a loved one here but are not fortunate enough to be able to visit, rest assured they are respected and very well cared for. The museum needs some tlc but then the items are still in the original condition when found. The bridge can be walked and you can pay your respects at the same time. If you can get on the train then do so as it will give you some perspective of the landscape they had to work in, fantastic trip.

Our tour guide Rach did an excellent job. He took care of all details. My wife found that she lost her sunglasses case after the tour. Rach responded promptly and sent it back in an hour. Thanks to Rach and Team.
