An Exceptional Day in Busan with HyoungHwa If you are looking for a private guide in Busan, especially if you are coming by cruise, I can recommend HyoungHwa from beyondBusan with complete confidence. We were a family of four visiting Busan on MSC Bellissima. I had made a pretty packed itinerary and honestly wasn’t sure everything could be covered. HyoungHwa picked us up exactly on time in the promised 2026 Kia Carnival, super clean, spacious and comfortable. And from there,,, what a day! She covered every single place I had requested and actually added another beautiful spot herself. Still, we never felt rushed. It was seriously hot that day, but her energy never dropped. She kept explaining Korean culture, Busan, Korea’s development, local life and even little things about the streets we were passing through. She made us understand Busan, not just see it. And I have to mention,,, she takes exceptionally good photos! She knew the right spots and angles and patiently clicked some really beautiful family pictures for us throughout the day. What impressed me most was her personal attention. My mother and wife Ankita are vegetarian, while my father and I are not. She made sure they had good vegetarian food and arranged fried chicken for Papa and me. We all ate together and it honestly felt like having lunch with a local friend. She went far beyond sightseeing. She helped us negotiate with vendors, got us free face masks, took us to a good low cost money exchange, recommended where to have a proper soju experience and even went inside Olive Young with Mom and Ankita to personally help them choose products. She also gifted us postcards that she had painted herself,,, such a lovely personal touch and something we will definitely keep. For cruise passengers, timing is everything. She managed our day perfectly. Pickup on time, full itinerary, food, shopping, an extra stop and still back at the cruise terminal comfortably on time. I have taken many private tours while travelling, and there is a difference between a good guide and someone who genuinely cares about your experience. HyoungHwa genuinely cares. By the end of the day, she didn’t feel like someone we had hired. She felt like we had our own friend in Busan. The hours went ridiculously fast and, despite a full day in the summer heat, when we reached the ship we actually wished we had a few more hours with her. An easy 5 out of 5 from me. Thank you HyoungHwa, for taking such wonderful care of my parents, Ankita and me, and for making Busan one of the most memorable days of our entire trip. We came to Busan to see the city,,, we left feeling like we had a friend there. ❤️🇰🇷

If I could give more stars I would. This was the best day of our entire trip. We were met at the port by Hyoung Hwa who took us on a fantastic day of touring. She is personable and knowledgeable about history, art scene, and food. We drove all over Pusan and had many different dishes that I am sorry to have left behind. Lunch was the best lunch of our trip at a great restaurant. She showed us the historical parts of the city as well as the current places frequented by locals. Her tour made us decide to return with our entire family to Pusan as a dedicated trip. We really felt we had a chance to experience a day on the life of a resident of Pusan.

Excellent tour ever! It was a perfect a day tour to see highlights with local food tastes on our first day in Busan. We loved the variety-driving by sights walking around Busan’s popular attractions. All included food was delicious! We had a Korean traditional table for lunch, a couple of street snacks, and cool home-made draft beer that made us chill out. Our guide, HyoungHwa was knowledgeable, super friendly, and fun to talk to. Her great photos and Busan travel tips were bonus. Highly recommend! 감사합니다!
