We are just back from a couple of weeks in the Algarve and whilst there we did a couple of tours. This is the second time we have used Johnny after a visit 2 years ago, we had no hesitation rebooking for this summer and we were not disappointed! Our first trip took us to a beautiful waterfall and natural springs and a town within the nature reserve as well as a trip to Faro, including the beautiful cathedral. Our second trip was out to the Wild West! This was definitely not your typical tourist destination. There were cliffs, valleys, beaches and sand dunes. What we love about going out on trips with Johnny is that he listens to what we enjoy and tailors the day to us, he takes it at our pace and does not rush us through places to get to the next one! He makes the trip to suit our needs. Which are not always traditional! His knowledge is also amazing with so many stories to share at each destination! There is never dull moment and he knows how to get good photos! When we first looked at using a private tour I thought the prices would be crazy expensive and that it would be way out of our budget but we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable they were! Throughout each trip, he communicated in advance to ensure we knew what would be needed and during the trips the car was spotless and he kept us hydrated. Meals were not included but he always gave multiple suggestions and what each would benefit us, including dealing with challenging dietary requirements. We also had a swing by the chemist as B had got a splinter; Johnny was not phased by making the detox, helped with translations and fully understood that it was not something we could ignore. We honestly feel that nothing was too much for him! If you are going to the Algarve, then I would 100% recommend chatting to Johnny

My wife, our two kids (11 and 9), and I had an absolutely wonderful day touring the Western Algarve, visiting Lagos, Sagres, and Burgau. What made the experience truly special was our fantastic guide, Johnny. Johnny was professional, personable, kind, and incredibly attentive to our family. He was especially wonderful with our children, making sure they were comfortable and engaged throughout the day. He shared fascinating historical information about each place we visited without ever making the tour feel like a lecture. We also really appreciated that Johnny gave us plenty of free time to explore and enjoy each destination at our own pace. He was an excellent and safe driver, and the Sprinter van was clean, comfortable, and in excellent condition. Johnny went above and beyond to make our day enjoyable, relaxing, and memorable. He was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal, and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely caring tour guide.

We had such a wonderful experience with Johnny as our private tour guide in the Western Algarve! From the very beginning, he was incredibly friendly, easy to communicate with, and so easy to work with. He was extremely knowledgeable about every area we visited and did a fantastic job making the experience both informative and enjoyable. We traveled as a family and group of 7. We did three full day tours with Johnny. All of us were extremely happy with Johnny. He is very knowledgeable and accommodating especially since I had my son who is 11 and very picky with food. Johnny would ensure we went to spots that worked for our group,he helped us set up transfers and even many extra stops for us like getting groceries. If you are looking for someone who is personable, flexible and kind book with Johnny.

Our excursion with Johnny was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, he was the consummate professional. His genuine passion for the Algarve made us appreciate this stunning region of Portugal even more. Before our tour even began, Johnny responded promptly to my emails and went above and beyond by providing thoughtful recommendations for things to see and do in Lisbon and Porto. His enthusiasm for the Algarve was contagious, and his knowledge of the region's history, culture, and hidden gems made every stop meaningful. He was also incredibly accommodating, arranging our schedule so we could enjoy lunch at a restaurant we had wanted to visit in Lagos. Throughout the day, we never felt rushed and were able to fully experience everything the Algarve has to offer. Johnny's warmth, passion, and pride in both the Algarve and Portugal made this one of the highlights of our trip. We left with wonderful memories and a much deeper appreciation for this remarkable region. We truly hope our paths cross again someday. Thank you, Johnny, for an unforgettable experience!

We did the tour with Johnny to the west coast of the Algarve. First Lagos, where we got a personal tour from Johnny. He knows all the hidden gems lie perfectly. Takes you to the most beautiful places in this surprisingly beautiful city. Then lunch at a place he reserved. Phenomenal views and great food. In Sagres, he knows the best stops to take pictures, and takes you to points where other tourists never go. Grandiose. This was a really fantastic day in the western Algarve. You'll never forget. Johnny will pick you up at your hotel, and drop you off after the tour. Drinks also provided for in the car. This was our second tour with him, but will certainly not be our last. Simply a great guide, a very fine man. Don't think about it, just book with him. You'll have an unforgettable day. Thanks Johnny. And certainly see you next time.

We had an amazing private tour with Johnny. As a family with two young children, Johnny designed the perfect itinerary for us and we squeezed in lots across the day. Johnny is so knowledgeable about the area and has such a passion for his career. The transport was very comfortable and car seats were provided. Johnny provided the perfect level of information as we visited each location and was great with our young daughter. We could not recommend this tour enough, and we really appreciate how flexible Johnny was during the tour, ensuring our little ones always came first. The tour included breathtaking views and lots of opportunities to experience the culture and tastes of the area. We made so many wonderful memories and hope to return so we can do another tour soon!

From start to finish the tour of western Algarve was spectacular. Johnny modified to suit our choices of places. We enjoyed a lovely seafood lunch inside an amazing fortress at Fortaleza da Luz! saw the many Stork nests along route, beautiful old towns, stunningly beautiful scenic cliff boardwalks especially Ponta da Piedade, and all narrated by a knowledgeable and engaging host: Johnny! The ride was smooth, comfortable and relaxing in between stops. Highly recommend this day tour and it is very reasonably priced!

Johnny was an excellent host and driver for our day in the Western Algarve! He had come highly recommended and was as wonderful as we had been told! We started with an incredible boat ride exploring cliffs and caves, with some very talented boat captains, all arranged by Johnny! We then explored Lagos, Sagres, Burgau, … with endless insights and history offered along the way!
