Although this review is regrettably very late, the guide did provided very good locations to photograph and good recommendations for optimal camera settings.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're pleased you found the locations and camera settings advice useful and enjoyed the experience.
Booked photo tours on two separate days with Derrick Santini. My wife and I had a great time, and Derrick had great ideas for photos. Highly recommend!
Thank you for the high recommendation! We are thrilled our team could provide two days of great photo ideas and a wonderful experience for you both.
This was my fifth workshop with Aperture, my first in London. Derrick took the time to discover what I was more interested in. He is quite an accomplished photographer, so I felt like I had an opportunity to learn from the best. He was patient and at the same time, he pushed me to go beyond "good enough" to get to the best image. Even on a rainy, messy day in London, I captured the magic of the city.
It is wonderful to have you join us again and to hear that even in rainy weather you came away with images you are proud of. We loves helping guests push their creativity further and capture the magic of each city.
The course was exactly what we were looking for. Rose accompanied us throughout the tour, showing us the best spots and explaining to my partner what night photography is all about. She was very nice, patient and explained great. My partner has learned many tips and tricks. Thank you very much for that.
Vielen Dank für die wunderbare Rückmeldung! Es freut uns sehr, dass der Kurs genau euren Erwartungen entsprochen hat und euer Lernerlebnis in der Nachtfotografie bereichert wurde.
The photography tour was a birthday present for our son Adrian who had just turned 17. He is really the "amateur expert" among us and he loved the tour with Rose. Dear Rose, thank you so much for your professionalism, your creativity and your charisma. You even managed to make the most out of some rainy spells. Our son does not often start freely talking after knowing someone just for a couple of minutes (and English is still a foreign language for him). So - thank you so much on his behalf and from us as his parents!
We're thrilled to hear that your son Adrian loved the photography tour and that it made for a memorable birthday present.
I travel to London yearly for work and over the years felt I have captured all the major sites. This year I thought I would try and go beyond the usual tourist areas and work on location and elements to level up my shots. I searched around I found Aperture Tours which seems it would fit the bill. I booked a night tour with Rose, and it was an excellent experience! Rose considered the work I have done before and suggested locations and views that stretched my creative bounds. I am very happy with what I was able to capture and look forward to another tour when I am back next year! Highly recommended!!
We're thrilled to hear that your night tour pushed the boundaries beyond the familiar tourist areas, offering new locations and creative challenges to enhance your photography skills. It's great to know the tour was perfectly tailored to your experience, leading to some excellent captures.
We had a fantastic tour with Derrick! He crammed so many sites into two hours we could barely keep up!! Derrick took us to places that we would have never found. He is a wonderful coach reviewing pictures as we took them. This was my second Aperture tour. I highly recommend them to any photographer that is traveling to a city and does not want to commit to a multi-day tour. I will be using them in other cities. Thank-you
We are glad to hear you had a good night with us yesterday. I hope you took away skills that will help improve your photography for the rest of your trip.
I had the pleasure of the company of the lovely Noemi for my night photography tour. I have some knowledge of photographic techniques but have never successfully tried long exposure shots at night. With Noemi's expert help I learnt what effect different ISO settings, f numbers and exposure times have on the outcome of a photo. With the reminders I should be confident in capturing fantastic night time photos. Thank you and thank Noemi for my tour.
I am very happy to hear you got new skills and took some creative photos with Noemi and Aperture Tours.
