Simplest and most efficient way to experience Muir Woods and Sausalito. Driver was knowledgeable and helpful on best ways to experience Muir Woods and had lots of awesome tips for Sausalito from lunch to shopping to options for return to San Francisco.

If you are travelling on the bus only and not taking the ferry back, there isn’t much time in Sausalito. You will have time for lunch or shopping but you’ll be rushed if you try to do both. It’s a very cute town though and definitely a nice stop. Muir Woods is absolutely magical. If for nothing else, go for that. If you cross the bridge in the early morning do consider that it may be hard to see the Golden Gate Bridge from the stop off point because of the fog. Note that you won’t be dropped back off at the pick up point on Post St after the tour, but at Fisherman’s Wharf. It’s a good opportunity to spend time on the wharf, or take the cable car back into town though. Thank you to our tour guide Michelle and driver Jack for a lovely day out!

Amazing experience and after visiting Muir woods, where we got to see the beautiful redwood trees and a coyote we travelled to sausalito. Started foggy but turned out beautiful weather. Our guide Judith was lovely. Very knowledgeable and engaging. I also had a lovely chat with her after being dropped off. I would definitely book again with grayline travel, great prices, and they constantly message to update you on your upcoming trip, gorgeous bus and brilliant guide 🙂

Experience nature. Appreciate how big the woods is. The trial was nicely designed and done. I wish I have more time to explore.

Joseph and Darrell were a dynamic duo. Joseph’s commentary was so well done. Informative and fun. Darrell‘s driving was fantastic. We had no idea about the narrow roads and switch backs. But it was evident there was no need for concern, as we were in the hands of an experienced driver. The time spent at each stop was just right. We went with our two adult children in their 20s. A great day was had by all.

Adolfo was great! He knew tons of interesting things about the city, kept us on time and really added to the experience. Muir Woods is just wonderful and I highly recommend the early morning trip since there are fewer people and it’s really peaceful even if it is a bit foggier than later in the day.
