The mood was ubiquitous……8 lonely travelers experiencing the Adriatic Sea on a sailboat. Fun for all but a key component missing…….Karlo!!! He and his team took us under their wings on land and ferried, educated and amused us all. From Dubrovnic, to Montenegro, Bosnia, Zagreb, Varadzin and even a castle that I still can’t pronounce or spell!
All meeting points, pick up locations, and times were exact! Polite and professional staff made us feel safe and comfortable. Karlo being general manager of it all had all details planned out….wonderful job! We now have a new “Zagrebian” (?) friend and I highly recommend him for your personal travel needs while in that area.

Our guide Karlo was...
Our guide Karlo was outstanding in every way. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about Croatian history and also very personable, entertaining and courteous. He was accommodating for my husband's limited mobility. His car is very comfortable and immaculate.
The town of Varazdin is pretty and a lovely way to spend a few hours. We had a guided walking tour there and some free time to go to a café.
The castle was very interesting and Karlo conducted a detailed tour through the castle and grounds. It was a wonderful day.

A most EXCELLENT day with Karlo, you can't go wrong booking him as your tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable, knows how to guide and give space, and gave a lot of flavour to simply visiting these places without him.

Absolutely excellent experience
We had an absolutely excellent experience on the Baroque Varaždin and Trakošćan Castle Private Tour from Zagreb! The sights themselves were stunning, but what truly made the day unforgettable was our tour guide, Karlo.
Karlo was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and went completely above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. He was an amazing host throughout the entire journey. To top it all off, he even arranged a dinner reservation for us at a fantastic local Zagreb restaurant after the tour and dropped us off right there.
If you are looking for a seamless, informative, and deeply memorable day trip from Zagreb, we cannot recommend this tour—and Karlo—highly enough! 5 stars all around.

Zagreb Castle Adventure
We had the best time! Karlo was amazing. We actually almost cancelled because we knew we were going to have bad weather SO glad we didn’t. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Karlo!

History, Culture and Flexibility – A Perfect Day Trip
We had a fantastic tour of Varaždin and Trakošćan Castle with Karlo from Bespoke Croatia. Varaždin is a beautiful town and Karlo did a great job balancing historical sites with free time for us to roam—one of the best perks of a private tour is that flexibility, and Karlo was very accommodating in tweaking the schedule for us.
We particularly enjoyed the visit to a local cemetery; Karlo’s explanation of Croatian customs regarding death was fascinating and a highlight we didn't expect!
We finished at Trakošćan Castle, where Karlo provided incredible historical context for every room, painting and piece of furniture. His dining recommendations afterward were spot on. A truly knowledgeable and professional guide!

Spent 2 weeks in Croatia and near the end of our stay we booked the Varzdin/Trakiscan tour with Karlo. The village and castle were wonderful but what made the day special was the tour guide. Great conversation on the way to and from the destination and as much detail as we wanted about the castle and city. Karlo has a way of giving enough information without getting boring and he reacts to the needs of the client well. There were 3 of us on the tour and his interaction with each of us was well worth the cost.
