A lovely day at the top of Thailand. Our guide Poon was knowledgeable and friendly, chatting freely about cultural and natural sights as well as more personal topics like recent changes in the Thai royal family, or the lives of Karen peoples (hill tribes) in modern Thailand. The short, beautiful trek past several dramatic waterfalls was the highlight of the day, and Poon was proactive in taking our photos and slo-motion videos at every stop. The summit of Doi Inthanon (highest point in Thailand) is not so impressive since it's amid a thick jungle. But culturally significant. The twin pagodas dedicated to King Rama IX and his wife are a better lookout point, although visibility in September can be poor.

Wonderful private tour! My guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire day easy and enjoyable. He explained each stop really well, gave me plenty of time to explore, and was a great driver throughout the day.

Our tour with Tong was excellent! He went above and beyond to ensure we had the most incredible experience possible. He is kind, knowledgeable, and funny! The only negative is that we didn’t meet him until the end of our time in Chiang Mai. Will be sure to book future tours with Tong and Pagoda View Tours next time we are in Chiang Mai.

Beautiful high-altitude tour! The highest mountain in Thailand.. trekking in the rainforest.. waterfalls.. in short, we did this excursion privately, very expensive but it was worth it.. our guide was truly fantastic.. I recommend it… fe and laura from Bergamo
