The visit to the New Museum was incredible. The displays were breathtaking. And they were brought to real life by our wonderful guide, Mina. His knowledge of ancient Egypt was extraordinary.

My friends and I took this tour with Mina today. He was knowledgeable about each site and answered all of our questions without hesitation. He allowed us as much photo time as we needed, but still kept us moving along at a good pace without rushing us. This tour had everything we needed and more!

Brilliant Egyptologist guide — the pyramids and GEM brought to life
Mina was an outstanding guide for my day at the three Giza pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. As an assistant professor of Egyptology at Cairo University, his knowledge of ancient Egypt is exceptional — but what really sets him apart is how he shares it. He doesn't just recite dates and dynasties; he makes the history come alive, telling the stories behind what you're looking at so the monuments and artefacts suddenly make sense. Feel like I know pharaoh Khufu and his family by now, and that I got a good sense of the religion and politics of the time.
He's also genuinely personable, engaging and endlessly helpful, happy to answer every question and clearly passionate about what he does. The pacing was perfect and I never felt rushed or lectured at.
If you're visiting Giza and GEM, ask for Mina. A 5 out of 5 experience and easily the highlight of my trip. Highly recommended.

Feedback on Private Cairo Tour
Osama Farahat ( our private guide) was the best! We had an absolutely outstanding experience with him visiting the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum. From beginning to end, the day was exceptionally well organised, informative and enjoyable.
Osama’s knowledge of ancient Egyptian history was remarkable. He brought the Pyramids and Sphinx to life through fascinating stories and explanations, giving us a much deeper appreciation of what we were seeing without ever overwhelming us with information. His guidance through the Grand Egyptian Museum was equally impressive, highlighting the most important treasures and providing historical context that we simply would not have gained visiting independently.
What made the experience particularly special was the personal attention. Everything was tailored to our interests and pace, with plenty of time for questions, photographs and simply taking in these extraordinary sites. He was professional, patient, engaging and genuinely passionate about Egypt and its incredible heritage.
Having such a knowledgeable private guide completely transformed our visit. This was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our time in Egypt, and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to discover the Pyramids, Sphinx and GEM in a meaningful and memorable way.
We are coming back and will definitely use Osama again!

Trip of cairo
We booked the guide osama farahat with gowithguide and couldn't be happier. It was a private tour which was bespoke in every way. Private car, drop off and pick up . Trips to giza pyramids, markets and the nile ie everything cairo had to offer. The guide osama farahat was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Nothing was a problem for him. We will definitely be using him again.
