The Amalfi Coast was amazing We went to the rental place and were told that wasn’t there. Went back to the hotel for further details. The gentleman at hotel plaza called and went with us to the same place that we were prior. They apologized 🤨
Although I have driven scooters before, this was the first time I have ridden it in a lot of traffic and in a foreign country. This trip is not for the faint of heart or the inexperienced. The roads can be heavily traveled, and you have to be careful for the tour buses making wide turns around corners. However, the scenery was beautiful. The scooter rental process went very easily, and they delivered the scooter to our cruise ship. It can take a couple of hours to travel one way over the Amalfi Coast area. I'd recommend getting off the scooter in a couple of towns to walk around a and break up the day. Make sure to park in designated parking spots. They are marked with blue lines and a number. You then go to the parking ticket vending machine, enter "Moto" as your mode of transport, your license plate number, and the parking spot number. Of course, make payment. You might have to ask around as to where you can find parking for your scooter when you arrive at a location.
Was so amazing driving around the coast experiencing it in open air! We came in on a cruise ship so was alil tough finding where to meet.
The process for pick up was very easy ! We loved the scooter , and we were able to drive it from Salerno to Amalfi no problems !
