The experience is summarized as solving riddles over a distance of two streets, without telling you about the history of the buildings that surround it, nor using the space to play with the answers. Furthermore, one of the clues is wrong, since it gives you letters that do not match the answer, making it impossible to solve without turning the page. In general, if you want to use it to visit Oslo, it is not the recommended experience. In short, if you don't get it with the Oslo pass, it's a rip-off.

Extremely thin soup
We made Akershus fortress mystery.
This was the definition of thin soup. Joined someone who had found this online, eventually heard the price was 500,- per person, which in itself is shocking when we only got distributed a booklet and that was it. The first hint was missing, so it set the tone. From there and out there was a mix of simple and/or boring.
It's wild to take 500,- per person for this. Good weather made it at all possible to carry it out without giving up early. No deadlines for repetition. I know this sounds overly strict, but at that price it has to be like this. Steer away.

Bad, spend time on something else
This was just really bad. Wasted time and money. You go a little here and there, but don't really need to go around to solve the task, you can just as well sit at home.
Have done this in Copenhagen and it was very fun, so I had expected something more than what we got. Disappointed!

Good group fun. Lots of walking
Good fun on a warm day. Tough to get to the start. Best part might be interacting with shop owner at the origination. Gave us some samples

Don't recommend
We found it difficult and boring. It took a long time and involved a lot of walking. Very disappointed and not as much fun as we hoped.
This "Solve a Mystery" experience was a fantastic surprise included with our OsloPass! We explored the historic Akershus Fortress while cracking codes and piecing together a real-life crime that happened there long ago. It felt like we were playing Sherlock Holmes for an afternoon!
Great way to learn some cool history and see the fortress in a new light. Highly recommend, especially if you're traveling with kids or anyone who enjoys a good puzzle. 🇳🇴
