Our guide, Svend-Erik, was amazing! He started the tour by asking us what really interested us, and tailored what we saw based on that. He was a wonderful story teller and great information! He also gave us lots of great recommendations. This is a walking tour and Edinburgh is very hilly. Be prepared to walk a lot, but it’s well worth it!
Sara was fantastic and tailored our ghost and legends tour perfectly to our group (3 adults/1 child), including an abundance of Harry Potter facts and trivia. We would definitely recommend this experience if you’re looking for something a little different but still loaded with historical facts & finds from a local who loves her city!
Evelyn was a fantastic tour guide! It was an extremely interesting tour and well worth the money spent.
We had Svend-Erik as our guide. He was knowledgeable, funny and engaging. He took us on a walk through cemeteries and the old town after darkness had fallen, telling funny ghost stories and interesting historical facts about Edinburgh. We learned a lot from the trip, and it made it more fun to walk through the streets the next day, having stories related to buildings and places. Very fun, recommend a private guide.
We really enjoyed this tour, the personal touch and information made the experience so much better. Our tour guide, Svend, did an outstanding job. He is gifted story teller and would recommend him to anyone. Very personable and genuinely nice.
The guide did not turn up which was disappointing. Tried to contact them but no response. Viator quickly refunded money

Sara was a great guide and very informative. She showed us loads of locations that we wouldn't have seen. A bit creepy walking round grave yards in the misty dark weather!
Debbie was prompt, very pleasant and had some interesting stories to share. We enjoyed our time with her in late October 2019 before COVID shut down international travel. My “friends” were my two adult daughters as we explored our British heritage
Evelyn is an absolutely fantastic tour guide. She really knows her city well and brings the myths and legends to life with her amazing stories. The whole family enjoyed the afternoon (despite the rain, which didn't really matter) and in fact it was the highlight of our weekend in Edinburgh. I would thoroughly recommend the myths and legends tour with Evelyn to anybody who is planning a visit to this really interesting city.
Being a fan of ghost tales, I knew I wanted to discover Edinburgh's dark side, and Evelyn was the perfect guide to do so. Evelyn got us hooked and spooked since the beginning in an informative and real way, without a need to resource to theatrical measures. The spooky tour was a highlight of my time in Edinburgh, and I highly recommend it to others that want to meet an authentic local with an interesting background like Evelyn.
