What a wonderful, relaxing, yet informative tour of historic Dresden. While I knew a bit about the destruction and bombings Dresden suffered during WWII this excellent tour, and our great guide, Robert (or Robby) provided some excellent information and historic background-context for our sights. It was a lovely 2.5 hours of walking at a leisurely pace throughout the major areas near Old Town Dresden. I had been in Dresden already for two days, but the places our guide showed us were not originally on my radar, so to speak, and so I was most surprised and pleased. Our guide knew so much and he showed us several photographs to show us what our stops looked like before and after WWII to compare with what they look like now. I was most impressed with the information I received about the architecture of the palace and other buildings. Our guide was very effective at keeping us all together, moving, and answering a lot of questions. Super fun, enjoyable walking tour--and I LOVE walking! For those who may be worried about the difficulty of the walk, do not fear. All was essentially flat and gentle walking with lots of stops for rest and sight seeing. Well worth taking when you are in Dresden.
One of the most knowledgeable and interesting tour guides I’ve ever had! Karen guided us through Dresden’s history and landmarks from the beginning up through the present day. She is a gifted tour guide and you will leave with a much deeper understanding of Dresden.
Robert our guide was from Dresden and offered an authentic voice on the history of the city (the good and not to good history) which was really terrific. Well paced. A good way to build some knowledge of the city and get your bearings if a first-time visitor.

My family had a wonderful tour with Christina. Her explanations of Dresden history were both informative and entertaining. The group we were with was very small, just 5 people, which meant we had lots of time for questions and for her to explain the things we were interested in. I definitely recommend this tour. Thank you for finding our beloved city enchanting and for your lovely review. Truly, people need to spend at least three days here to explore the city and its sights. Five days if they want to include day trips to other cities like Meissen or even Saxon Switzerland!
The tour started on time and the guide was very nice and interactive with all the guests. Unfortunately at the first stop it became apparent that we were unable to hear her. It was a very busy day and tons of ambient noise. We excused ourselves after a half an hour. I wish we would have been provided whisper mic. Our choice to leave. Next time we will just do a private tour to avoid this situation.
I am so sorry to hear that the ambient noise made it difficult to hear the guide. She is a teacher and has never had difficulties being heard, but she confirmed it was unusually loud in town that day. We do try and limit our group size to 15- 16 people for that reason. But of course asking for a private tour is always a good option too. Thank you for saying that the guide was nice and interactive.
Our tour was exciting, and we discovered a lot of new things. Leo focused on some exciting details and addressed all questions. He couldn't answer a few questions, but we see that as a learning curve for him.
