This food tour was the perfect way to start our honeymoon in Crete! It was our first excursion after arriving, and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Heraklion.
Alex was fantastic. Not only did he take us to several amazing places to try a variety of local foods, but he also shared so much about the culture of Heraklion and Crete along the way. He was incredibly accommodating of my food allergies, which made the experience that much more enjoyable, and we genuinely loved getting to know him and talking with him throughout the tour.
One of the best parts was that the tour set us up for the rest of our time in Heraklion. Alex introduced us to dishes we probably never would have known to look for on menus, including an absolutely delicious drunken pork dish! We even loved one of the stops so much that we went back later in our trip.
Such a fun, delicious, and memorable introduction to Crete. We would absolutely recommend this tour and Alex!

This was a fun evening, definitely come hungry as there is a lot of food. Our guide was great company and finished things off with wine tasting! A good opportunity to see some of the sights whilst trying local dishes.

Great food and company
Very friendly guide. Knowledgeable in the authentic Greek dishes. We did this on our first day to Crete so it set the tone on dishs to order.

Amazing food tour!
Alex was an AMAZING tour guide! He taught us about the history of Crete and introduced us to the best dishes! Alex was very personable and created an experience we will never forget. Make sure to go hungry!!

Friendly, personable, knowledgeable and tasty tour
Marina (and Alex) were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and despite it being a very busy day in the city, every accommodation was made to ensure we ate and had a nice time

Heraklion with Alex
We had a fantastic day walking around the center of Heraklion with Alex. He was an amazing host and ambassador for his city - we were only able to spend a few hours there, but Alex showed us so much incredible food, culture and history that we really felt like we had gotten an insiders' view. There was plenty to eat, so make sure you come with an appetite. I would definitely recommend this tour to anybody visting Heraklion.

Alex was a fantastic tour guide! You’ll experience local fare from the best restaurants in town! You will be stuffed so start off hungry. Ask him about his family wine store and if you’re nice enough you might get invited to share in some Rakemelo which you don’t want to miss! Highly recommended and we will visit again!

Amazing tour!
My wife and I had an incredible evening touring Heraklion, eating incredible food, and tasting amazing Cretan wines. Marina was a fantastic host and showed us a great time. We cannot recommend this tour enough! 10/10!
