We had an A+++ experience on this excursion! There was a small miscommunication with my booking, but Barbie was incredibly accommodating and made everything right. She truly has a heart of gold. It's obvious that she's passionate about giving back to her community, especially by making snorkeling accessible for those with disabilities. Her kindness and dedication are just as impressive as the tour itself.
Barbie also sends a text the night before with clear directions on where to meet and exactly what to expect.
The tour begins with an amazing presentation. I don't want to give away any details because I don't want to spoil it, but it's informative, engaging, and really sets the tone for the experience. If you've ever been hesitant about snorkeling or are concerned about safety, make this your very first snorkeling adventure. Safety was clearly the top priority from start to finish.
I've been on more than 50 snorkeling excursions, and this was the first time my family was given magnetic shark deterrent ankle bands. That extra attention to safety really stood out and gave us even more confidence in the water.
Viktor was our guide, and we had an absolute blast with him! He made sure everyone felt safe while showing us every square inch of one of the most beautiful bays in Maui. Along the way, he pointed out pufferfish, eels, turtles, and so much other amazing marine life that we would have completely missed on our own. He was knowledgeable, fun, and made the experience unforgettable.
My kids especially loved using the sea scooters. After Viktor showed them a few tricks, they were doing somersaults underwater! My son even pulled off a double somersault with the sea scooter!
This excursion was a 10/10 in every way. Between Barbie's genuine compassion and commitment to her guests and community, and Viktor's incredible guidance and enthusiasm, this was easily one of the best excursions we've ever done. I can't recommend it enough. Don't leave Maui without experiencing it, you won't regret it!

🌊✨ WOW—what an unforgettable adventure with Eco Sea Scooter Snorkeling Academy Maui! We were beyond lucky to have Barbie as our guide for our private sunrise tour on March 7th! 🌅💙
This was hands-down the EASIEST and MOST effortless snorkeling experience we've ever had—pure fun, zero struggle! Instead of fighting the waves, we got to glide effortlessly through the water and spend more time diving down to explore the stunning underwater world at Kapalua Bay! 🐠🐢🌺

Best snorkeling experience
Barbie took us out and we saw so many sea turtles and fish. It was an absolutely amazing time! My husband and I loved every second of it!!!

Great excursion , hustled for extra money once you get there
The experience once you get to the water is great . Our guide was super knowledgeable and made it fun . The only negative experience is when we arrived to the excursion I was informed I had to pay a mandatory $25 per wet suit rental fee or we could not partake.
If it’s mandatory why is it not included in the already high priced excursion . In my opinion it’s an extra money grab . They know once you’re there you not going to back out .

We’ve made updates to our Fareharbor booking system to enhance clarity. Specifically, we’ve added a note stating that it is only required to rent an Airtime Watertime flotation wetsuit for children ages 10 to 15 and folks without swimming /snorkeling experience. We are thrilled you chose to celebrate your son's birthday with us. Please note he does fall into our mandatory Airtime Watertime flotation wetsuit use criteria due to his age. You are correct that the cost is $25 each.
This ensures safety, especially given that we use Yamaha 350LI Sea Scooters with 3-speed settings and a maximum speed of 3.7 mph, and water conditions can vary. Our flotation wetsuits are not only essential for safety but also provide extra warmth and eliminate the need for fins. You as his guardian are exempt from mandatory rental. Our deepest apologies that this detail causes some confusion.
To prevent future scheduling issues, we’ve implemented a new booking cut-off time at 9:00 PM the evening before the first tour of the following day. Since your booking was made at 8:38 AM for a 9:00 AM tour on December 29, 2024, our crew only became aware of your reservation shortly before the tour began. While we did our best to accommodate you under these circumstances, this rare occurrence has prompted these necessary adjustments.
We always strive to send a detailed reminder the day before a tour, outlining location details, check-in time (30 minutes before the start), items to bring and wear, and equipment rental information. We understand this may not have reached you in time, and we apologize for any confusion.
As a gesture of goodwill, we are refunding the rental fee for the adult Airtime Watertime flotation wetsuit used during your tour. You will receive a confirmation email shortly regarding this refund.

Sea Scooter
This was an awesome and fun excursion and great way to kickoff our Maui vacation. Barb (Owner) and Julia (Diving instructor) were top notch.
They waited until we were comfortable and ready to hit the bay with the Sea Scooters.
They had plenty of power and made it seamless and easy to
Maneuver with the Airtime Watertime Floater suit.
These suits are the absolute best and could really help a person with disabilities still enjoy the water.
