My boyfriend and I had so much fun at this rum and chocolate tasting! Alejandra was our guide and she was AMAZING! We tried so many different rums, went to the chocolate factory, and got to learn a lot about the history of rum and chocolate. Would recommend!

Amazing experience 👏🏼
We had such an amazing time on the chocolate and rum tour! From start to finish, the entire experience was fun, informative.
Alejandra was our host and she was AMAZING! She was so welcoming, knowledgeable, personable, and made the whole experience even better. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does, and her energy made the tour feel fun and relaxed instead of just another tourist activity.
The chocolate and rum were delicious, we learned a lot, laughed a lot, and had such a good time. If you’re thinking about booking this experience, DO IT and if you’re lucky enough to get Alejandra as your host, you’re in for a treat!

Rum tasting at El Arsenal in Cartagena
The rum and chocolate tasting was a real experience. Alejandra, who led us through the evening, is a very competent expert who was able to convey the complex production processes of the various types of rum simply and understandably. In addition, there were tips for each type of rum on how it is best consumed so that its flavor comes into its own. The tasting with chocolate and other small items was precisely tailored to the individual rum delicacies.
This tasting with Alejandra is definitely a clear recommendation.
I have to criticize one point. 3 in our group asked for water without ice. As a result, only the ice was removed from the water and the water was handed to us; in the end, there was water from the refrigerator, which gave all 3 of us gastrointestinal problems. The filtration of the water and also the ice cube preparation should be improved here.

Zudem haben wir unsere Serviceprotokolle mit dem Team nachgeschult, um sicherzustellen, dass bei solchen Bitten immer ein komplett neues Glas Wasser serviert wird, anstatt nur das Eis zu entfernen.
Wir hoffen sehr, dass es den Betroffenen mittlerweile wieder gut geht. Es würde uns freuen, wenn Sie uns in Zukunft noch einmal die Chance geben, Sie von unserem Service rundum zu überzeugen.

Fruit and Ice Cream Tasting- 5⭐️
Our experience was fabulous. We tasted several different fruits and the kids enjoyed getting to make the ice cream by hand. Wendy was a great guide and very good with our kids!

Good rum tasting experience.
Attended a fantastic rum tasting experience, and I can't say enough good things about our presenter Alejandra and the team. They were exceptionally knowledgeable, engaging, and brought incredible energy to the entire session.
Instead of just pouring drinks, they walked us through the rich history, production methods, and subtle flavor profiles of each rum with genuine passion and wit. They made complex tasting notes accessible to everyone—from complete novices to seasoned rum lovers—and answered every question with enthusiasm.
However, I do need to note a serious issue with the refreshments provided: three guests in our group experienced severe stomach problems afterward, which we traced back to the ice/water served during the session. Management definitely needs to look into their water filtration and ice sanitation immediately.
Despite the unfortunate issue with the water, Alejandra's presentation itself was top-notch. If you get the chance to join a tasting led by her, don't pass it up—just stick to the neat pours! Cheers to an otherwise unforgettable evening!
