ノースヘッド (マオリ語: マウンガウイカ;正式にはマウンガウイカ、マウンガウイカ/北頭とも呼ばれる）[1][2][3]は、ニュージーランドのオークランド、デヴォンポート郊外のワイテマター湾の東端にある火山とトゥプナ・マウンガ（先祖代々の山）の岬を形成している[4] 港とハウラキ湾を一望できることで知られ、1885年以来、頭部は主に海防施設として軍によって使用され、アクセス可能な古い掩蔽壕とトンネルのネットワークを遺産として残し、アトラクションの一部を形成した。 この場所は1972年にハウラキ湾海洋公園の一部として保護され[5]、2001年にカテゴリーI史跡に指定された[6] 2014年のワイタンギ請求和解条約の一環として、火山丘は正式にマウンガウイカと名付けられ、保護区は非公式にマウンガウイカ/ノースヘッド歴史保護区と改名された。
1959年に開通した当初の内側4車線はボックストラス構造である。 1968年から1969年にかけて片側2車線が増設され、元の橋脚からカンチレバーとして伸びるオルソトロピックボックス構造となっている[5 ] 。 橋の長さは1,020 m（3,348フィート）で、主径間長は243.8 m（800フィート）で、高水位から43.27 m（142フィート）上昇しており[6]、橋の西側にある数少ないそのような埠頭の一つであるチェルシー製糖所の深海埠頭への船舶のアクセスを可能にしている。 オークランドの象徴とされることが多いが、多くの人は徒歩やサイクリング、鉄道施設を使わずに橋を建設することを見落としていると考えている。 2016年には、スカイパスと呼ばれる歩道と自転車道を提供するアドオン構造物が、カウンシルの資金提供の承認と計画の同意を受けましたが、建設されませんでした。2021年には、ノーザンパスウェイと呼ばれる独立したウォーキングとサイクリングの橋がニュージーランド政府から発表されましたが、これも建設されませんでした。 1日あたり約17万台の車両が橋を渡る。

We had an amazing time on this tour! If you are looking for a more intimate experience with a guide that has a lot of knowledge of the area and want to see the most stunning views of the city this the tour for you! Ash was wonderful and very accommodating based on what you are looking to do and explore!

We had requested hotel pick-up. No van showed up. When I contacted the tour company, they said it was because I did not reply to their phone call the night before. We had no missed calls on our phone (plus it was an out of country number). They said NO refund but did offer to take us on the tour the next day - which would have meant we would miss our connection for the next segment of our vacation travels. So we paid for a tour that we did not get plus had the fun of waiting in the lobby of our hotel for 2+ hours for nothing.

We are disappointed that in your opinion we did not meet expectation.After providing you call logs to call made to your hotel where they advised no guests is staying under your name,multiple calls to your mobile phone,text messages,emails to arrange for pick up time but there was no reponse. We allocate our guides and drivers once we have comfirmed pickup time and date on which the Tour is booked.We tried our best to reach with no avail.You only responded on the and said waiting in Lobby.By then you had missed the booking slot. After we got your email on the daynof Tour,we emailed you back providing you option to take following day.But you said you could not do it.You asked for refund with no fault of ours.We had missed opportunity to book someone else as you were booked.Hence the reason we could not offer refund. Also to add prior to pickup time ,we called Viator to advise if you have any other contact and we are not able to get in touch with you.They advised us that they do not have any other contact.All calls are recorded and you can check with them the lenght we tried to get in touch with you. We are very reliable and responsible company and always take good care of our clients.Please understand we have associated costs and it we allocate resources accordinly. We wish to offer sincere apology that we did not meet your expectation however please note we could not be faulted.Our team tried all its best. We hope this has not changed your mind on how beautiful New Zealand and it's people are.If given the opportunity again, our team will gladely be at your service.
I asked for an amended city tour as I wanted to see Auckland lit up at Christmas time. It turns out this city decorates a lot less than in the states; but Krish took us to the few decorated locations there are and he parked at several spots so we could get out and take pictures, even offering to take pictures of us with the lights in the background. For two jet lagged clients, his tour was exactly what we ordered.

Lots of fun. Knowledgeable and flexible guide. He will take you wherever you want to go so it’s a good idea to have an itinerary in mind. And he can take you up Mt Eden in his minibus—taxis can do this—which saves an exhausting slog by foot.
