Our chef Depi was fantastic and made cooking so interesting! She was so knowledgeable about the food and the seasonings and the vegetables!
Definitely recommend this instead of a restaurant for a fun evening.

Authentic Indonesian Cooking
Today we visited the Farm Cooking class. We were conveniently picked up by the Farm transfer by our friendly driver. We were taken to the farm where we received a very warm welcome. We were hosted by the lovely and very knowledgeable Depi. First we were offered some snake skin fruit and fresh coffee, she then showed us around the farm and explained the various organic ingredients grown at the farm and the rationale for using the different ingredients from taste and strength. We then picked our own plants/vegetables that went into the different dishes. Depi showed us how to prepare the different elements using traditional balinese techniques. We made 2 appetisers dishes. 2 main course and a delicious dessert. Depi enjoys her trade and you can tell she is very grateful the farm supports local farming, employs many from the local community which makes the activity not only sustainable for local people but provides a brilliant attraction for tourists. In between tasting the courses we had cooked we were provided sufficient time to enjoy additional refreshments.
After a wonderful class we were safely dropped back off into the main ubud area.
Would highly recommend for a fun but informative excursion.

A must do as a couple
Amazing activity as a couple. Picking some of the vegetables from the farm was fun. The instructors were so sweet and helpful. The meals were tasty.

Excellent market and farm tour and cooking class
We did the morning cooking class which included a market tour and farm tour to pick fresh vegetables for the cooking class. It was a great experience and I'd highly recommend the morning class so that you get to experience shopping in a real village market - our guide was great and we got to try some wonderful tropical fruit as we went through. We then arrived at the organic biodynanic farm for a tour around and to learn about all the crops that they grow, infusing picking some of the ingredients for the dishes. We made (or helped to make) two starters, three main dishes and dessert, all of which were delicious. If you go as a couple/ family, you do share one stove etc rather than each person having their own and some of the dishes are partially made for you, so while it's still very hands-on, you don't make 100% of the dishes yourself. Still highly recommend - great experience.

Wow, what an experience
Wow What an experience. I had a private cooking class. He was very good. Starting with the organization, preparation, taste and people, everything is perfect. The teacher is very experienced and nice. I'm very pleased.

A wonderful and authentic Balinese experience!
I joined the evening cooking class and absolutely loved it. The farm is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by lush gardens where we picked some of our own ingredients before cooking. The team was so warm, funny, and knowledgeable — they made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun. We cooked several delicious traditional dishes and enjoyed them together as a group, like one big family. Everything was perfectly organized, from the pickup in Ubud to the lovely setting on the farm. Such a memorable and heartwarming evening — highly recommend to anyone visiting Bali! 🌿🍛✨

Authentic experience, more than a cooking class!
More than just a cooking class—it’s a chance to dive deep into the culture, learn from the experts, and enjoy an unforgettable day! The morning tour to the local market was a highlight. We walked through the garden, learnt about local growing and farming techniques, and had the chance to pick our own ingredients. The sheltered outdoor cooking space was stunning and so peaceful. The staff were not only skilled but also incredibly engaging and funny, making the entire class fun and interactive. As a beautiful bonus, they put together a video of our group throughout the day. It was such a thoughtful touch, allowing us to relive the memories we made.
