An excellent excursion, with a lot of interesting information, as well as fascinating stories and legends from the past. A perfect experience to immerse yourself in the medieval atmosphere of these two picturesque cities.
The organization and timing were perfect, and we had enough time to explore each of the places at our leisure. We especially want to highlight our guide today, Kostas. With his authentic personality and incredibly positive attitude, he accompanied us throughout the day with great energy, joy, and enthusiasm.
Thank you very much for this very well-organized and professional excursion, which allowed us to discover one of the many wonderful places that Spain offers. Absolutely recommended!

Two cities in one day, a great experience!
We were the only English speakers on the van, and I think we missed a lot of commentary, even though our guide spoke to us in English. The tours gave us a nice glimpse of two very unique cities and we were glad to have seen both.

Good day trip
This is a long day trip around 11-12 hours but it is worth it to me because I get to see 2 cities in one day. Ávila and Salamanca is worth the visit. If you want to get a detailed tour of the city I would recommend spending at least a night in each city. This tour provides the basic highlights of the city. The coach / van provided is clean and comfortable and I Iike it that it is a small group not a busload of people.

Good pace to see the highlights
The trip is as I expected. Gives us enough time to explore on our own and ideas on the highlights of Salamanca and Avila. Our transportation is comfortable and clean. It’s a good tour, of course just like any day tour you can’t expect to explore the city extensively. Our guide is considerate enough not to walk to fast and let us old farts catch our breath 😅

Don’t Book this trip with Amigo Tours
I booked this trip back in February for 8 th June and Amigo Tours Cancelled it ( for unseen circumstances) they offered me an alternative date for 6 th June which I accepted and they have just cancelled that date ( for unforeseen circumstances) we are now unable to visit Salamanca as we return home on the 10th and they are saying the next availability is the 12 th. Amigo Tours are a very incompetent company who offer very bad customer service. Ie They don’t give a damn.

Very good.
Kostas was excellent; the tour was in Spanish and English, and he was able to switch languages effortlessly with perfect pronunciation. Salamanca is beautiful to visit; Avila is nice but is more of a stopover given the distance between Salamanca and Madrid. Kostas still recommended all the nicest activities to do and was very helpful.

Beautiful Avila and Salamanca
Avila is pretty, and we got to walk up the wall to have good views of the surrounding. The visitor center has clean bathrooms. The tour is conducted in both Spanish and English at the same time, and there is no head set. It would have been better if there are separate guides with different languages and a head set for each person.

Day trip to Salamanca and Avila
While it was a long bus ride we got to visit 2 world heritage sites outside of the city while staying in Madrid. Our guide Khan provided bilingual information as our tour group was made of English and Spanish speakers. He did a great job describing the history of Salamanca University and later the ciry of Avila. We had a 20 minute break during the long drive and plenty of time for lunch and self exploration.
