This was definitely worth doing before going to Florence. Fiesole was founded and existed prior to Florence. You learn the history leading up to Florence. Our guide was spectacularly knowledgeable.

Marco is a modern Italian treasure. Our 5 days with him in Chianti and Tuscany were beautiful and so informative. His background in Art History sets him up as a wonderful tutor delving deeper into Italian culture. His command of the English language was very helpful.
